Welcome guys, I love these new sections! Especially the graphic and this one! But hey, we need content!

What is the best software to edit video for you? I have used Adobe After Effects, Pinnacle Studio and Sony Vegas Pro. And yea I vote for AE, there are tons of tutorials across the Web so it's pretty easy to learn how to use this one.

Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects are the standard, but Sony
Vegas runs a close second behind it and it doesn't have as steep of a
learning curve. Personally, I have never used Pinnacle, so I can't give
an informed review on it.

In the end, a lot comes down to the user and how creative he/she is
with the tools.

I prefer Sony Vegas for "normal" video editing and AE when I need to do fancy stuff :)

Ofcourse it's all about creativity, whole design work (no matter if its video/graphic or other) is based on this.

So as I can see, AE is still on the top here! On other forums I see more and more people are starting to use Sony Vegas.

Prefer to use Vegas, I'm not too skilled with AE right now besides using templates of course ;)

Usually with basic editing I would go with Vegas, but for more advanced editing I would recommend After Effects since it gives you more options. Vegas is a lot faster to edit with in my opinion, but it shows in the quality.

How to make good looking videos quickly:

1. Make a very basic video in Vegas
2. Render in Vegas to an uncompressed .avi
3. Import the .avi to After Effects
4. Add the final touch in After Effects and render the final video

AE seems to leading but for easy videos i recommend Sony Vegas. With AE you can make a lot of things but only when u want to make 100% pro.

I used to own Sony Vegas (a few versions ago) and thought about Cyberlink Power Director recently, but for now I just use Windows Movie Maker until I have a reason to spend some money on a good one.

Adobe After Effects, preferably the whole Adobe Design Suite... Photoshop and Illustrator can seamlessly integrated with AE projects giving you precise design and control over the overall aesthetics of your video.
Cinema 4D is a great add on for 3D elements integrated with your video.

I use sony vegas pro 10 , sometimes i use camtasia studio if i have just recorded something though

I've been using VideoPad, its freeware and very handy for simple editing tasks.

after effect is gud for FX use for editing sony vegas and premiere pro is best.
