I can't imagine life without eating meat . I am doing bodybuilding since i was young and i must tell you guys : muscles dont grow without meat :)

Some say eat meat to be as strong as the Ox, But the Ox ate the grass to get as strong as it did

There is so much wrong with peoples take on vegans/vegetarians in this thread, i dont know where to start.

First off, i never once met a vegan/vegetarian that tries to belittle a meat eater or tries to act 'holier the thou' . What you will see is that some vegetarians/vegans that will teach you there style of cuisine. If you come across someone that comes off strong and is trying to convert they are not just vegans/vegetarians, but they are also animal rights ACTIVISTS .

Secondly, humans do not need to eat meat to survive. I know many vegetarians/vegans that have stayed away from animal product and has been in extremely good health for decades. Humans are not carnivars, i argue that we are not even omnivores, but humans are herbivores by nature. Humans are apes by definition. Apes do not need meat to survive, but we eat it anyway. Our bodies closely resembles herbivores and not carnivores.

Thirdly, there is nothing wrong to consider this topic and have a constructive discussion since this topic is related to the suffering of sentient life. Humans are supposed to have a high morality, but in most cases i see it is full of hypocrisy. Why belittle someone freedom fighter? If it werent for animal right activists, there wouldnt be so many laws being passed for the better treating of animals. Animals are experiencing major atrocities, they are experiencing wurst then there own holocaust for a duration that is 100 times longer. I think human morality is summed up in a simple term, treat others how you would like to be treated. So I commend the activists that stand up for the little guy(animals in this case)

I am seeing so many misconceptions here about how humans need meat, or how early man ate meat and how not eating meat is not healthy.... not true. But If someone would think about how it might be immoral to mistreat another sentient life, i would ask you to at least think of that, and approach a delicate topic like this with some consideration

I get most of my meat from a local butcher. There are deer and bird populations that have to be controlled else there will be too many and the entire populations could die. Hunters kill them to conserve the species and I buy that meat.

Yes, death happens. But the idea of having them killed and then wasted seems like a more awful way of going about it.

I've been vegetarian for twenty years. I also take care of a lot of stray cats. I probably buy more meat than most non-veggies.

Secondly, humans do not need to eat meat to survive.

A human can survive without sunlight too, but it doesn't mean it's smart.

Without meat it's hard for the body to process the nine essential amino acids. It's possible a diligent vegetarian diet can help process some, but not most. Just unhealthy.

google Max Garson and Charlotte Garson. I know for a fact that if you eat to much meat and all the other crap you you put yourself at risk. I know people who died probably millions die. I know it's good for the economy for you and millions to be sick and there would be a collapse if all of you would see the truth and not atack me, I use to be like you. In any case this is tru just because all of you disagree doesnn't mean it's not true. Eathing they way you are eating is wrong and bad for you, I use to eat like you and almost lost my sight gained tons of weight, got diabeetees etc.. well now I'm normal. I have nothing againes killing farm animals it's just that it's GMO crap that you eat, even when you go eat at mcdonalds they put silicon in the chicken, so how are people not going to die? well i at all that crap now i don't. that the truth google it.

It is probably true, fast food chicken and most of other bought meat is usually crap.
But there's nothing bad for your body if you eat (in normal quantities, ofc) natural meat without any additives/hormones. One of advantages of life in a village is access to this and fresh natural vegetable.

any amount and any type (red meat) -- appears to significantly increase the risk of premature death, according to a long-range study that examined the eating habits and health of more than 110,000 adults for more than 20 years.

For instance, adding just one 3-ounce serving of unprocessed red meat -- picture a piece of steak no bigger than a deck of cards -- to one's daily diet was associated with a 13% greater chance of dying during the course of the study.

Everything's risky. That vegetable you buy in supermarket is treated with tons of different chemicals, and they for sure won't cause you any good.

Also, reason behind premature death is low body activity and eating unhealthy meat with too much cholesterol.

Eat what you want. But stop spreading your fucking propaganda (eating vegetables cures cancer, lolwut?)

But stop saying #$#$ like: google this and this and you will see the truth.

Oh too lazy to research on your own? I'll do it for you just because I want people to see their own ignorance.

Derp derp.

Animals exist to be eaten, no exceptions. I look forward to the day I can chow down on a panda burger.

Animals exist to move seeds around. We are gifted with a conscious through years of evolution, it's sad to see how some humans take it for granted and succumb to the idea that man is great and animals are slaves. By eating meat, keeping animals locked up, etc. You're just supporting the idea of hierarchies of control and slavery, for example government. You're their cattle how does that make you feel?

I just posted about Dr Max Gerson a day or two ago here in the cancer thread. Dude was amazing

I choose to indulge in meat only so often, we usually try to have as fresh/local veggies as possible.
Cooked the least amount of time. Raw, juiced, slightly grilled...

When my dad got cancer, we thought he was a goner. That was 6 years ago, and he's been recovering with fresh veggies and MMJ(!)
