USPS Item being returned to sender. Incomplete address.??

My tracking status update been stuck on this for 6 days now including weekends. I forgot to add the buyer apartment number and now I caused some hassle. I shipped from the United States to Canada. I called Canada Post a few times last week to add the unit number and some lady said she had made the request or change. Can it still be at the proccessing place held or stuck somewhere lost? Can it be in transit back to my house but not scanning? The value is $2300 and I did not add insurance which I should have but never thought I would encounter this situation. Hopefully it's coming back to you. I only ship USA but when I screw up an address it's like they punish me and don't update tracking. I wouldn't tell them the value.

Listen bro, this isn't Wikipedia. But to answer your question, if it still hasn't been scanned as delivered, it's probably getting returned and if i remember correctly you're going to have to pay for that postage (i used to be a mail carrier).

I would suggest you use Fedex or UPS next time. Their tracking is much better.

Thanks for the answer and punish you as in...? Did you get what you shipped out back? And did the carrier returned it back to your home?

To late now but next time call the delivering Post Office to update the address. Most of them aren't very big and will know what carrier is handling the package and can toss the address back on there for you. I would have also reached out to the person it was being shipped to and asked them to contact the Post Office so it doesn't get returned. Between you contacting the destination Post Office and the receiver contacting the destination Post Office you'll rarely have an item returned when there is a mistake on the address.

Hey any update to what happen? I know this post is old but Im kind of in the same situation.

USPS delivered my package 3 1/2 weeks after I made this thread. The only thing to do is to just wait. If you think the package is lost or stuck somewhere 9.5/10 its not. USPS has a slow process for international items being returned.
