If you want to use AdSense or Amazon then better have your own domain name and use worldpress. I don't think you can apply for AdSense unless you have your own domain or a blogger blog. But again I recommend you Google Blogger over both Weebly and Wix.

Why you go for blogs if you need your personal just buy the Domain and Host. But if it is difficult Use the Wordpress upload it and edit the free theme. After that for Traffic and Backlinks try out the Blogs and do Interlinking which result best for your site.

Using the wordpress site, you lose a ton of flexibility. I would not recommend it.
It's much better to put wordpress on your own personal domain.

I don't think they're good for ranking top 1 in Google. But they are good for creating landing pages, or random PPD sites you can set up and leave.

Both of them are pretty pain in the neck when it comes to SEO. WordPress +1 (selfhosted)
