    Hello all,

A bit of a newbie here. I want to ask about using sitebuilders like Weebly and Wix.

Are these sitebuilders good for creating a site that can reach the first page of Google search results? Can they be optimized this well?

Or is the best option using Wordpress?

    Thanks in advance.

For better rankings I'd go with Wordpress. What is the purpose of the site you want to build and why you don't go for hosting + domain?

I want to make a niche site and use Google Adsense and maybe Amazon Afilliate.

I have very little experience in building websites, but of course Wix is so easy for newbies that I could actually do it using that.

I'm just worried that Wordpress will be too difficult for me.

When you say Google Adsense you can relate to long term websites with lot of content so I'd highly recommend you to go for a domain + hosting. Wordpress is actually very easy to learn and customize, spend some time searching for tutorial on Youtube and you'll easily learn it. If you want I have a udemy course that takes you by hand and explains everything from buying domain to installing Wordpress and customizing it, just let me know if you want it and I'll upload it for you.

No, it won't be. Wordpress is very simple to install and use. There are a ton of video tutorials on Youtube that can help you get started.

Wix and Weebly are bright looking, Wordpress is for serious writing, very efficient and has all you need, and there is a lot of customization in case you need anything. Professional writers, scientists, activists use Wordpress for it's really useful, simple to set up , you need to "fight off" some features less than in other packages. You can better concentrate on the content of your website, and you are going to have to have impressive content to be among top Google ranking.

Wix would be better than weebly , easier for novice but it will not do much for SEO purposes. I agree to everyone that said WORDPRESS is the ultimate way to build site with rich content for the purpose of SEO

Aside from the religious wars regarding which platform is best, and whether or not WordPress is easy to learn..... the answer to your main question about Google optimization is that "it doesn't really matter" whether you use Wix, Weebly or WordPress. All of those platforms have the same ability to be optimized in search engines. You have full control over the Meta tags, body copy, link structures, etc. These are all the things you need to finesse in order to make your site as "search engine friendly" as possible. Wix, Weebly and WP provide equal control over all those components of your site. We've developed sites under all three platforms at my website development company, Sync Interactive, and have had great success promoting all of them in the engines. So from an SEO perspective, like I said, it doesn't really matter which you choose.

Remember, however, that optimizing your own site is only a fraction of the battle towards getting your site to the the top of engines. You also need to actively promote your site on the internet by participating in other blogs, forums (such as this), business directories, social channels (facebook, twitter, linkedin, etc), online news coverage, and anywhere else you can get high quality links pointing to your site. And this, again, has nothing to do with Wix/Weebly/WordPress.

Choose the platform that's most comfortable to you, and most suitable to your needs. Do you need to do a lot of blogging with rich blogging features? Then WordPress is the way to go. Do you need a more flat, static website with just a little blogging? Then Weebly and Wix will serve you well.

Use your own domain whichever you do.

Credibility is gone if you have wix or weebly in your url.

If your niche is not competitive I would go with weebly, if I had to choose between weebly and wix.
I would buy a .com domain and add it to weebly.
However in the long run if you need features that weebly is not able to provide or they are too expensive get hosting and install wordpress. Do your research and see for yourself.

p.s. Weebly is ranking pretty easily for low competition niches.

    Cheers

Thanks for all the answers. I may just try my luck with Wordpress. If worst comes to worst, I can always use the many Youtube tutorials to help me.

Wordpress + Hosting for sure like some have stated.

Dabble with Weebly/Wix for squeeze/landing pages, pointing to your offer/main site and sprinkle around the internet.

Weebly to me is shit for ranking, not sure about Wix. WordPress love deleting for no reason. Yola and Webs are good for ranking from my experience.
