VPS hosting vs Shared hosting

I heard that using shared host cause to change the website ranking with high frequency.

"Frequent downtimes, database connection errors, Internal server error, too many unnecessary re-directs, frequent IP address migration are some of the hazards of going with a shared hosting plan.

What's your thought about this?

Okay I will be honest here. I never used VPS hosting. But In Medium competitive keywords, i never had problems in ranking.

I feel important end of the day sales count? that is our aim. Is interesting on this. First time i heard about it. How about cloud hosting vs shared hosting?
If keep adding news content surely one day will need to upgrade...?

I heard it sometimes can cause problems - when some poor quality cheat sites are hosted at the same place... But for small projects it's a waste of money, so using shared hosting is always a way

The problem comes when google adds the shared ip because of an irresponsible user.

No problems, the only problem is the moment you start raising up with your business, you need better option.

I think I've witnessed all the problems the op listed in my shared hosting site, especially when you're with the bad host. You can't be worried about getting backlinks and social mentions for your site and still be worried about your host.

VPS theoretically is the same as shared hosting. So I think that the quality depends on the provider. You can have poor VPS service or perfect shared hosting from different providers.
For SEO is very important to have decent uptime and clear (not blacklisted) IPs. So perhaps better use those parameters for the search .

I would not recommend shared hosting. If it's for real and long term business, it's better to select good hosting.

IMO, shared hosting is just fine so far as your host is a better hosting environment.
I like to go for shared hosting which comes with a dedicated IP address. Thats absolute value for money.

In my opinion yes, most of IPs of Web Hosting is SHARED with others.
If the pings are blacklisted you will be affected less or to much. You never will know if will affect a lot or not.

The best is avoid shared IPs, better use dedicated IP like VPS or Dedicated Server.

But that doesn't mean every hosting shared will make you ranking badly, just search for clean and reliable hosting shared.

I use shared hosting and I think there is no effect on ranking.

A lot of tips have been shared about hosting on this forum and especially in this section. You can dig a bit and get your doubts cleared.

Really depends on where you have the shared hosting account set up. If someone like hostgator or godaddy which way over stuff the servers then yes those issues could cause some ranking issues.

But you have to look at it this way as well. There is a crap load of sites that are ranked and ranked well sitting on the two host above shared servers.

server speed, IP only play a small part in the over status of how your site ranks.

If you’re building a blog or personal site, want to make a small to average-sized company website, have a small budget, don’t know much about web development. Then you should choose Shared Hosting.
