Using proxies for Instagram login on desktop?

I believe insta has like 99% mobile traffic, so yes. IF you can, use mobile

Seen a lot of people mention that if you're logging into Instagram with a proxy, it’s best to use residential or mobile avoid datacenter proxies since they get flagged more easily. Browser access is fine as long as the proxy is clean and not shared across multiple accounts. Mobile proxies are usually safer but more expensive. Also, avoid logging in and out frequently or doing anything that looks automated it increases the risk of a checkpoint.

Would you say that mimicking user activity and warming up the accounts will reduce the ban risk close to 0% or over time they will catch up? I was also wondering if it will make me go to hidden folder less if I message my other accounts and pull myself out of that hidden folder as if Im not messaging 10 people and 5 mark me as spam VS I message 5 my own accounts and 5 other accounts and I still have 50% response rate.

it's safe to login into Instagram from browser using a proxy. Both residential and mobile proxy is good to go. You should use the static proxy to keep the IP address as the same
 
For IG safety, mobile proxies with the app are best. Browsers can work if the setup mimics real user behavior well.
 
I use residential or mobile proxies with a reliable proxy manager to log into Instagram on desktop. It helps avoid detection and bans. I always match the proxy location with my account’s usual activity for safety.

Via the IG app is better. But if you only have access to a laptop, then it's fine. You can use that as well. That'll also do the job. And mobile proxies are always better. But residential will also get the job done, but you'll have to 1st make sure that the one you're using, is not already spammed to death. As that's the main issue with the residential proxies, in comparison to mobile proxies.
 
I have never used my personal IG account through mobile, only from desktop. And i've never had any problems with it, so i guess it's perfectly fine.

Yes, it’s generally safe to log into Instagram via browser with a proxy-if done right. Just go slow and steady to stay under Instagram’s radar.
 
Many anti detection browsers support integrated proxies, you can find a free one to try. But it's best if it can be detected by fingerprint, even though there are only two or three browsers like this.
