Depends on the content you want to do.
Some content require higher quality production (entertainment), and some it doesn't matter as long as it delivers value (informational).
For example when people search for something like computer repair, programming, etc., the Indian guy with a super heavy accent, recorded on a crappy resolution smartphone, and gets straight to the point is almost always going to be better than the higher production channel with 2 sponsored posts, a 10 minute intro, and barely covers the topic. As long as your deliver value, you'll be able to compete with the more polished channels.
For entertainment, I almost always click out immediately whenever I hear a cheap microphone.
