I'm pretty new to the PBN scene and I have a question for you guys. I obtained a PR4 domain, PA 64, DA 57. I'm pretty certain that at some point the domain was penalized. It has a lot of questionable backlinks. I started using it on my PBN. I just posted related articles to start off. The index page regained rank for at least the name.com. I'm curious if it's safe to use such a site for backlinks. Will it help / hurt?

mods: I meant to post this in the Black Hat SEO section. My apologies.

I dont think its worth the risk. DA 57 is super high for expired domains. Look for something around 30 which is reality.

That's what I was afraid of. I'm sure I paid too much for the domain so I guess I'll consider it a lesson learned.

I did snag up a PR5 with a DA of 40. It was some government site and has a lot of edu and gov backlinks. So it is possible to get good expired domains with more authority.
