I just don't get it.

I can see a few benefits, just as video testimonials and such. But do you guys really pay these people to outsource your SEO work?

How do you know if these people are any good and can do the job?

I've learned that when it comes to outsourcing, you can't just hire someone "to raise your rankings" you need to give them uber specific instructions like "Bookmark this site on these specific social bookmark sites"


Of you guys who have successfully used Fiverr, what are you using it for?

Everyone keeps talking about it like it's gold. Maybe some odd jobs are worthwhile there, like people who have strong wikipedia or yahoo answers accounts.
 
A few are reliable sellers.

I use a few gigs to get indexed, others for blasts.

I've ordered link wheels, pyramids, xrumers, scrapebox, senukeX even AMR blasts. Some are highly reliable and I've gotten to #1 with a highly competitive keyword, only spent like 60$ over a period of time on there for it.

Some are great, others not so much. It's the same anywhere else, just have to learn how to pick and choose.
 
not fan of fiverr but gigbucks.
i outsourced 70 high authority PR6-PR8 backlinks for $10 USD
the guy delivered it in 2 days and result were good so valued for money for me.
as you mentioned fiverr is awesome for those video testimonials.

Fiverr is a gold mine! Serious i lov that place you can get the most crazy stuff from it for only 5 dollar, you just need t know how to find them
 
Like what? Get a drawing of my face for $5?

Besides the video testimonials, is there anything of real value that I can't get from my normal indian outsourcers? How can I trust a guy who's offering backlinks for $5 when these guys barely have reviews?

fiverr is like any other site..... you have to sort thru some bad apples to find good providers....

and to touch your point... when you hire someone... YOU DO GIVE THEM DETAIL INSTRUCTIONS ON WHAT YOU WANT AND HOW YOU WANT IT DONE.

nobody said fiverr was automatic....

but it does get results for cheap....
 
I had unique experience with the site (article service) I bought 2 article service from the same writer (a reputable one with lots of likes and satisfied customer testimony), one article truly exceed my expectation for $5, but the other one, didn't satisfy me much (in fact disappoint me). So I guess there is still some "luck" involved, either it's the mood of the seller, or maybe because the seller outsource your job somewhere else cheaper so the result won't be a stable. Then I purchased again from the same seller (yes I'm a lazy writer) and again, she exceed my expectation. I guess luck is a factor you need to consider. For SEO work (link building or other), I never really use them, I always do it myself to ensure I do it right. $5 can destroy your established site with blatant xrumer or scrapebox blast. But that just because I'm a slightly paranoid with link building. Just try the seller with your useless site (if you have any), if you see some improvement, then you probably found a great seller that deliver result (not just deliver the work).
 
I heard that now Fiverr requires you to have minimum 8 sales, before withdrawing your money. I may be wrong, or I might be right, the thing is your ads are sinking to the bottom, so how many newbies can make money out of that? Aside the 2 weeks clearance, Fiverr is definitely not an option for some quick money.

So you spend some time, do some searches, and you find a seller who has 99% feedback, and you might be thinking "hey, this must be good", right? Wrong: most of the sellers create a fake buyer account and buy from themselves and leave positive feedback. Unlike eBay who check personal information and ban people using the same address or credit card, fiverr only requires an email to buy or sell so it only takes a second to create a fake account.

Anyway, I'm using mostly for the video section, as a buyer, and after long searches, I can find something interesting, as for the rest... I can't afford to spend my time in there and make money out of it, because you can't really make a real living out of it. Now, if you live in a 3rd world country, maybe $1000 means something for you.
 
i just buy fivers for backlink blasts and it worked pretty well for me.
my 3 domains are on the top against very high volume searches and that rocks. all due to fiverr
 
There are some good stuff, I outsourced some drawing service, made couple of hundred bucks, you can really outsource lots of stuff, as long as you have people needing it.
 
You can get massive backlink packages: 5000-7000 forum profiles for $5. Granted, running it through scrapebox shows low success rates sometimes, but you can't beat that price anywhere. I've found a ton of good linkbuilding services on fiverr where success rate is high. There are some crap ones too, but if you take it to fiverr support you can get your money back if it really sucks, like one person who changed my link. It's just trial and error, just like with any service you'd see on BHW.
 
I've bought quiet a few fiverr services in the past and I don't see anything wrong with them. All the backlink building services which I have purchased, I made sure to put 'em through scrapebox to check them for my links. So far, I haven't hit a bad apple in terms of link building.

However, in terms of hiring a writer from there... I tried a gig and I didn't like it at all. So, I know I won't be getting any writing tasks done from there.
 
Fiverr is great. And believe me, there are some reliable sellers still, me being one of them. I have a gig with 78 pos reviews and 0 negative after 50 days. I didn't do any of these my self there all legit. I use fiverr to get clients/ pay my monthly vps's bills. One big thing about getting sales is using the correct tags and having a very informative gig description.

So I think you can work on that site .
 
Yeah I have to say Fiverr is awesome.

Honestly if your willing to dig through the crap gigs you can find some really good ones.
 
I have at gig at fiverr with 100% rating which is article writing. But honestly, I prefer to do business outside fiverr coz of the fee and 15 days clearance which sucks.
 
This thread is so win. I was wondering the same thing. If somebody could pm me some good sellers for quality backlinks I'd appreciate it.
