Hello, So I have an idea & want to know what you guys think.
I have Food Channel that is monetized. My audience is mostly from, lets say Barbados.
I recently paid for a Facebook ad on a actual video (not a link) just to test it out & here were my results.
Cost: $2
Duration: 2 Day
Reach: 6,000+
ThruPlays: 2,000+
My Idea:
Lets say YouTube is currently paying me $5 (RPM) for every 1,000 viewers.
1. Posting my YouTube Video Link on a Facebook page as a post.
2. Running a Facebook AD on that post to persons living in Barbados since my audience is mostly from there & for the Detailed Targeting, I'd select persons that are interested in Food.
Now, I do expect that some persons will click on the link and actually watch the video since the AD is targeted.
Lets say I get atleast 1,000 viewers from that Facebook ad which would result in:
YouTube Ad Revenue = $5 ($5 RPM)
Cost to run the Facebook AD = $2
Profit = $3
Thoughts on this idea and would this be against YouTube or Facebook Rules to do this method?
