Hi, I had a relatively successful website back over 5 years ago, it got de-indexed due to bad back links and I dropped it. Today I'm back in the same niche with a new website, thing is It's a very specific niche and hard to write articles about. I spent a ton of time writing articles for this site and was wondering whether using way back machine to grab and re-post to my new website would have a negative effect. I know no one really knows but, seeing the articles are mine and if I do a check to make sure no one else has robbed them would you do it?

Absolutely no problem with that. Check whether or not they are indexed or pass copyscape, if they are good to go, then surely use them that way. No reason not to.

the site was de-indexed 5 years ago.
I used "a sentence from the article" exact in Google and sometimes I can find it on another website but, not the whole article. I found a sentence on a website called gromolniy looks like a Amazon aff site but, it's not really within my niche and again just a sentence.

Perfectly fine then.

I see no problems as long as you own on the content on the site.
well you can not stop if the content duplicates on other sites since the site was inactive a long time back.

I'll go through each sentence, check for dupes and rewrite if necessary. thanks guys

Yes, that's fine. Just make sure there's no existing articles that are really exact duplicates after checking with copyscape. Rewrite some words if you must.
