I decided to use one of my dot info names about a month ago and have been slowly adding content. At first of course it was nowhere to be seen on Google then I could see it if I did a "exact" (using inverted commas) match search and it showed up on page 7.
I persisted all of December just adding one or two links a day and now I am on page 1 for one set of keywords without using the "-" , page 3 for another keyword and page 6 for another.
Just a little bit of consistency and voila! Will plug away for a while yet and see if I can get them all to page 1.
The page on page one has a double mention with an indented addition as well.
Maybe dot info is not so bad after all.

I've also had good luck with them. Google doesn't penalize .info versus .com ... they don't give one more weight than another in the search algorithm. It's all for show - "theoretically" visitors feel more comfortable in a .com domain than a .info... same with a "www" in the front - ya have to ask your self, what would you click first, for example...

Public Enemy said it best....Don't Believe The Hype! If you do your own tests (like you did above) you will be able to find out what works for you instead of following some anonymous person's ramblings or "expert opinion". If you have a gut feeling about something, give it a whirl and see where it goes.

I take my words back. I read it again and it was discouraging. Go ahead with your plans and if you need help we are all here.
Sorry for the rude words earlier, I want the best for everyone

I was just speaking in general terms about .info domains and well any other method or situation posted on BHW or other forums...nothing directed at you virus_1720 or anyone else.

I just find that so many members here (and on other forums) claim opinion as fact even though they have never tried anything themselves. They just subscribe to a forum, a newsletter and believe certain people's words are gospel and they repeat it across the internet. It's discouraging. Tweak test tweak test tweak and you can make just about anything work...at least that's my thinking.

I so often see so many on here want a quick fix...that is....no 1 on Google tomorrow. I believe that a concerted consistant effort may be what is really needed. Currently I am doing all this by hand with no automation but basically giving the search engines what they want. That is, the keyword in name URL, title, post titles, tags etc.
I will work on with my dot info and see where it takes me. Have lots more just sitting there although I do prefer the dot coms. My dot info's have basically been gathering dust but may as well put them all up and see where it takes me.
Thanks for the input guys.
