Using competitors to build backlink Lists

Hello Guys,

When I search for my competitors backlinks in aHrefs or similar, it shows 22k links. When I try to scrape their sites using the Scrapebox and the backlink checker addon, appears very few backlinks, less than 20.

I want to build a list of backlinks based on them, to create my own links in the same places using GSA SER to build it. They have a lot of interessant sources that I did not find in Backlink lists like SERocket, a lot of edu and gov backlinks from my country. What can I do?

Download their backlinks from Ahrefs and use GSA to try to post to them.

Good thinking mimicking your competitors. Not many people do that imo

As mentioned above, use Ahrefs to download their backlinks. I also suggest you you use Majestic as their historic index is bigger. (those are probably links that got them where they are, not recent ones)

I wouldn't put my hope up about SER tho. If their link sources are HQ you will have a hard time posting from my experience. Manual work might be required.

There are too many backlinks, it's impossible to do all manually. But I confess I'm having a hard time using GSA.
