    Hi Guys
So we have an ecommerce store that has a blog built in through shopify, which sits as a sub folder in the URL e.g. www . mystore . co.uk / blog / news / this-blog-post

We use the blog posts to highlight different products and occasionally write buying guides. The issue we have is that the blog posts are ranking higher than the pages we are trying to rank by linking out from the blog posts. So we have looked in to this and noticed that a lot of other ecommerce sites are using a subdomain to host their blog e.g. blog . mystore . co . uk
We were wondering if this would be an effective way of hosting our blog somewhere separately which would boost the SEO of our main store site without outranking it?

If this would be effective then what would be the best steps in migrating all of the existing blog posts over to sub domain blog without confusing google?

    Thanks in advance
