To check whether the domain really has an authentic page rank or has a forged high page rank use the following link:
Put the domain name in the box and check...
At the bottom of the page, you'll see if the page rank is valid or is forged.
If it is forged then nail the seller hard.
Put the result here please.
IMO, without any backlinks, it is definitely FORGED.
P.S.:
It can be verified only for the initial few days when the domain page rank is forged, after some days, the site will not be able to tell you that though.
If you can, please PM me the domain name and I will try to find if it is really forged, but can't promise anything solid as Google too has some limitations in this matter.

OK. Just use Google search and do the following (twice: one each for the "info:www.domain.ext" and "info:domain.ext"). Replace the "domain.ext" with your domain name and extension. If one of the two shows a different URL (the green link) then the Page Rank is definitely forged.
Note that one is without the "www." part while the other is with the "www." part. AND do it NOW (for a good reason.)
Check it and PM me the result (if you do not want to mention it here, initially).

(DON'T put the surrounding quotes when you do the search).

There is a huge reason between buying something out of ignorance and getting scammed. Sounds like OP didn't due his/her due diligence and didn't even really know what he/she was getting into.
