Useless comments on sale threads ?

I have had sellers trying to justify late work / work not done - due to me not posting a transaction on their threads. I'm not going to post in threads, as I am not linking my BHW account with my work.

Buyers posting trans IDs does help keep popular sales threads at the top and lets bad services sink. Plus it leaves evidence that I bought that service in case I need to bring up a shit list problem with a mod later. My only beef is assholes who just spam "good luck" in the thread. Frankly these look like either people trying to beef up post counts or the seller's fake account bumping.

A lot of sellers actually ask you to post comments like that, in order to bump their thread.

I have even faced, after purchase post Trans ID and then we will start working on your order.

I believe this is against bhw rulea, but diddn't bother reporting to mods at the time.

At the moment, there are no rules about people posting buyer confirmation in the sales thread - as long as they are happy to do so. It should not be a condition of the sale and it should not affect the service delivered in any way. Sellers coercing people in this way should be reported so we can pick it up.

The "good luck with your service" posts are just spam. Again, if you see it, please report it.

nearly as bad as people doing this 16 times. welcome to bhw in intro section

just useless.

I agree with op on these issues...but i guess it is very difficult to prevent it 100%.
I was thinking of a solution where in at the begining of a thread, may be near the title or somewhere close to it, there is a option to see all the reviews and or important messages which could be tagged by OP. So that any user can see all reviews snd other important messages quickely.

Seriously it the delight of every seller to see his or her sales thread lively so post like reviews discounts and so on are part of the game I think there is actually no problem with this.

There is a big problem with it. I'm there to buy or read reviews, not thread bumps and noob spam trying to get their 15 posts. Nobody wants to sift through 20 pages of pure shite just to find the odd one or two reviews. The thread is there for buyers and reviewers.

You guys seriously need to review the web designing thread. Don't really want to point out anyone but it was very hard to find anything useful there specially the bumping threads with 2 year old reviews ( you guys could ask them to put it in op in form of spoiler or something ) I only know about web designing because that is the only thread I spent time on and as a noob and buyer it was really a bad experience to look for anything.

Most of the reviews here aren't worth shit anyway. There's plenty of sellers giving free links for reviews so you can't even take those seriously. You have to dig for buyers who you've seen previously leave accurate reviews and it's just not worth it most of the time.

I don't read review copy reviews for the most part. Has there ever been any review copy reviews that are negative? I've never seen one yet.

"Smaple plox" and "may i be having discounts now plz sirs" posts are annoying but they pale into comparison to sellers reposting their sales graphic + hand-picked reviews multiple times throughout the thread. You'd improve the marketplace hugely by stopping that alone.

The best option is to have a feature "bump" which will be available once at 24 hours and also the permission to post discounts/uodates once at 3 days :) @Apricot @I know SEO

damn, I'm surprised OP gets this much slack just for suggesting that maybe the absurd amount of useless poop people post/are asked to post on salesthreads should be reduced.
I, for one, would like to see clear sales threads where people only just share their experience with the seller instead of a billion "review copy plz". Maybe just require sellers to provide link to a sample in the original post if they want to give out samples...
