Hello guys,

I was checking some sale threads on bhw and I found it difficult to filter reviews from all those useless comments transactions IDs, coupon requests, same serp stats screenshots etc. because sale thread owners are asking clients or potential clients to do things just because they want their thread bumped.

Comment with transaction ID( I am a seller too and I don't think posting transactions IDs on sale thread will help me, just if I want to bump the thread)
Ask for coupons(Why can't you just make public the code on your latest post or ask people to send you a private massage?)

I would suggest to add a rule that doesn't allow sellers to ask this useless comments.

What do you think?

I would greatly appreciate this...it would faciliate the communication with the vendors as well, who are constantly pushing you to comment. Once I even had vendor complaining I commented right after he bumped the thread and that I could have waited.

You will always get people asking for the latest coupon or a discount, even if it's been posted on the same page. Some people are just too lazy to look!!

Transaction IDs I see absolutely no need for. If the seller wants to track BHW sales through their site they should just add a new field to their form for BHW username. (Many already do this)

Maybe op hates customers? Those of us who run businesses have this all the time. A healthy sales thread gets attention, a dead thread er well doesn't

Ever been to a chinatown in US? Or a marketplace in Barcelona? A fair in South America or India? Marketplaces are noisy, people are selling stuff, folks are asking for discounts, sellers are shouting out their best prices. A sanitized marketplace is no marketplace IMO.

So what would you like OP? A dead marketplace where no one posts? You publish a BST and it flips to page 2 and it's gone forever, is that it?

Maybe just legit reviews. i never asked for any kind of bump, but actually was totally against it, and my BST is still alive :D

Unfortunately it's business, we all get the same sort of thing, every customer is valuable, no good winging when you get questions that could lead to sales

I have no posted in my BST for like 3-4 weeks now. I am not trying to bump it lol. if you want I can delete or edit my comment.
I was trying to give a fair example, not to advertise.

I was thinking the same. They do that to bump their thread.

A marketplace rule should be made around this topic, Not harsh rule but something like 5 comments of trasaction id/day and others will be in sellers pm or whatever gmail, forms, etc.

cause some threads gets to page 3 or even further which are alive.

Dead marketplace? In case you forgot sale thread owners can bump their threads once at every 72 hours or reply to previous comments once a day. Logically speaking you will have your thread more time on first page if members will post less on other sale threads(just reviews, important questions and updates coming from OP)

I don't find any connection between what I said and marketplace @ the world. They are asking for discounts directly to the seller(in our case you can send a private message) also I don't have problems with members that asks for discounts, I just don't like bst owners who ask members to post on thread "send me coupon code".

I never actually accused you of bumping your thread.

Yes indeed, but you told me that I am trying to advertise here. If I would wanted to advertise I would just have bumped the BST instead of advertising on other threads. I am not begging for customers.

There is some confusion here, reply quoting where I said that, I've just gone back over my posts and I can't find it
