Use Wordpress or Blogspot?

wordpress is awesome:D. its very easy to use. you can get many plugins to make your work fast and easy.

looks like Wordpress are getting very anal and removing sites left right and center

In my opinion, you are well known seo person, do the blogger, because blogger is the hosted site and you can edit in html.

otherwise go to wordpress, all the seo works done by Yoast plugin

I went with WordPress. I feel I have more freedom. If you aren't going to self host though I would just use blogger.

main : wordpress + domain + hosting ( i love their plugin)
2nd , 3rd tier : free blogspot ( easy to rank)

PS. The answer is both, WordPress for your main site and use the blogger site as part of your first tier.

W130SN,

Can you please elaborate a bit on 1st tier, 2nd tier set-up. I plan to launch a WP site. Just bought domain name and about to purchase hosting, WP templates, and plugins.

1st and 2nd tiers are for ranking keywords? Or back-up sites to main content source? I'm definitely a newbie when it comes to WP, but would like to understand the ideal structure for set-up before delving in.

Thanks in advance for your help.

i am a user of both platforms i like both but you dont have any seo option in blogger like in wordpress you have hundreds of plugins to boost up your website

Doesn't matter. Either one. Both. You don't need bells and whistles. You don't need elaborate widgets and other bulky garbage. You don't need to register a domain. You don't need to spend one freakin' dime. Just sign up, grab a clean template that doesn't detract from your content, use GIMP to craft a cute little logo, slap it in there, pick a topic (I recommend something controversial), add Paypal donation button, start adding quality, original content...stuff that makes people puke, piss off, or laugh till coffee spurts out of their nose. SEO? LOL! Why bother, when you can have much more fun spreading the word by initiating e-beef with other, more well-known bloggers. Raise hell all over the blogosphere. Make a companion Twitter account for your blog. Start some sh*t with D-List celebrities who have nothing better to do than argue with the unwashed masses. Pen colorful, humorous reviews for products you've purchased on Amazon, and be sure your username is the same as your blog address (be sure to comment on other people's reviews too, and be argumentative). YouTube is next. Nothing fancy needed, just text on screen or plain audio with robot voice. Again, controversial topic that will catch people's eye, something that goes with the theme of the blog. Start arguments in comment section of most popular videos. Create catchphrases for your "brand", design graphics in GIMP, create CafePress or Zazzle account, and now you have a T-shirt shop to link to from your blog. But as that old saying goes, content is king and that is your money-maker. Don't steal, don't scrape, dig deep and use your own sh*t. And yes, I know where I'm at. LOL!

You need to self host your websites where you have full control over your blogs or cms based websites. Never rely on someone
else's hosting where they have the authority just to strip you of everything.

Short Run => Blogspot
Mid Run => WordPress
Long Run => WordPress with Genesis/Thesis/Premium WP Themes
Super Long Run => You don't have to care cuz your biz is already running on autopilot

I personally would go with wordpress, blogspot is just to unprofessional looking and outdated
for me, besides if you go with wordpress you will be learning a skill that can be applied quickly
and easily for all your sites.

Wordpress If My Pick Though I mostly Go with Blogspot
But Wordpress U can simply the blog your own touch
Install Nice plugins make it professional..
Blogger has many Limitations speaking it from my personal experience
Final Answer Go with Wordpress

Mate if you cannot afford hosting cost then blogger is best for you.

There are many additional benefits of using WordPress over Blogger.
Get many supportive plugins to customize your site and easily available awesome templates are great merits that I consider.

If you are keen on meshing all in one with google. Ie tying in G+ pages / Google image hosting / ability to use G+ comments within blogs id be going Blogger. That being said WP is easier to customise if you don't want to play around too much

I use wordpress.. doesn't really matter either way.. Use whatever helps you to get the job done.
