+1 for WordPress and customize your blog with necessary plugins.

Anyway, you can search about it on forum, as it's not a new question and also you are not a new member.

THey are both even i have found. If you expect your blog to take off, and eventually get a domain for it, then you might want to start with wordpress, as you can then easily migrate over to a wordpress site. If you want no hassle, and just want to publish then choose blogger, there is a very limited number of bells and whistles there.

Have a look at your niche and see what other people are doing, and if there is any type or style of layouts you like.

you can search health blogs blogspot.com / wordpress.com to check them out

Personally I like WordPress. All the things you can do with so many paid/free plugins and themes is just not available on Blogspot so with WP you have more choices and more control.

Do we really need this question again?

OP, do the following search in Google

There should be enough threads and posts there for you to make an informed decision, one way or the other.

    Good Luck

PS. The answer is both, WordPress for your main site and use the blogger site as part of your first tier.

Blogger ranks better and it's perfectly good for your first site.

Wordpress.com would make for a good second site, get you to grips with the Wordpress platform. Or just go straight to self-hosted Wordpress (.org). It's still simple enough for a beginner.

I don't see why you should learn blogger. Just go with WordPress all the way.

I go for WordPress. Wordpress gives you unlimited freedom to do anything you'd like with your site, there are thousands of plugins, you can self-host, and with server-side code (PHP) and a database (MySQL), the sky is the limit.

If you don't know the differences, you need to experience both.

    1. Buy cheap domain names.
    2. You do not have the money to buy hosting, use blogspot.
    3. After a while you can switch to blogspot worldprees easy.

Both are fine but I prefer wordpress, there are many advantages; the main one being able to access such a large amount of free plugins.

I would suggest wordpress since you are more in control of your designs and business model. Use your own hosting and not
someone else's. Blogspot seems a bit limiting to me.

Self-hosted WP is the way to go

    1) you get to use tons of plugins

    2) you can skin your blog anyway you want

    3) You can sell your blog easily

    Why not both?

    I can't hurt....

You can even use the blogspot/blogger as a contextual backlink!

But if you are hosting wordpress...

    You have unlimited options.

Google loves Blogspot, because blogspot is part of Google.
But, WordPress is also SEO friendly, and it is the easiest way to admin a website ( You can very easy add the content, change the text, etc ).

    I recommend WordPress.
