That tax is legally owed on any income, whether it's earned through an LLC or not. And if there are tax treaties in place that reduce or eliminate the total tax burden, those treaties apply equally to LLCs and individual taxpayers.
If your point about double taxation is that LLCs make it harder to commit criminal tax evasion, that is technically true. However, that topic is entirely outside the scope of this forum, and unrelated to OP's question.

What if I don't need physical presence (online business), but having an LLC would open a lot more business from the US?

Absolutly not.
It depends on states, and countries involved, but in the majority of cases you are taxed twice. Only some taxes are deductible (depending on diplomatic agreements between the US and the country you live in), but generally it results in a big mess, and the one who is damaged is you.

You just don't know what you are talking about, why do you keep talking? An LLC is "tax-transparent", a "tax-nothing". It does NOT get taxed in the US. Only the members of the LLC get taxed in the place where they are personally liable to pay income tax. There is no double taxation!
But we've said it 5 times already, I don't think it will sink it.

The OP is a non-resident, non-US citizen operating a single-member LLC. The LLC is a tax-through entity, where any profit the LLC generates, appears as general income on the income tax report of the member.
In the case of the OP, since he is not living in the US, and also does not appear to have 'nexus', there are no federal income tax requirements for this LLC.

Agreed, also if OP is on a visa like student or other, they would be considered a resident alien for tax purposes.
