Wow I just thought of something... they are saying that it is due to copyright infringement... however is that not what the DMCA act was made for? If they are skipping right over that why would they not take down all the adult tube sites... or YouTube for that mater as they all have "copyrighted" videos all day every day.

Makes me un-easy with the power they have over the world ;(

To justify the takedowns of domestically registered domains from a legal standpoint, the U.S. government has been using 2008's PRO IP Act to invoke "civil forfeiture" laws. Such laws let the government grab "property" used in the commission of certain crimes--without ever having to get a conviction for the crime itself.

Within the next year I will likely be giving up my US citizenship, finally ;) For both tax reasons, and because of crap like this.

Most of the domain names suggest sites that traffic in counterfeit clothing items: cheap-louisvuitton-replica., nfljerseyswhole., uggbootsclearanceoutletstores., and so on. The list is also sprinkled with names that suggest digital piracy: dvdsetonline., for example.


Looks like emd's are still working!
