Hi, i'm a full stack web developer worked as a freelancer for many years + i have experience working for different companies, i tried many times to apply for an upwork account but my request always get rejected, I still don't know what are the requirements, i do have a degree in web development + 5 years of experience, but still don't know why my requests keep getting rejected each time, i'm not looking for illegal way to obtain an account or anything like that, i just want to know the requirements and if i'm doing something wrong, keeping in mind that i'm living in morocco which i'm thinking that's what caused the issue in the approval system, they might not accept degrees from my country, if anyone has an idea about how i can solve this problem i will be very thankful.

Strange... I keep reading about Upwork rejects and stuff. My approval went smoothly, literally without any problems. After a few days of registration, I've got a call from their support and that was it.

Hello, upwork got extremely picky about accepting new freelancers to work through their platform. And there's a good reason for doing so.
They wanna keep a fair balance between supply and demand to avoid service prices and indirectly upwork earnings to drop down.
They already have a lot of supply, so if you wish to get approved on their platform, you should differentiate your offer from the other freelancers. They have a ton of people signed up as generic web developer. When creating your profile description, try to be as much specific as possible about your skills, and try to make it specialized in some niches. For example, if you have experience creating websites, you could mention that you specialize in a particular niche, like real estate websites to sell luxury homes.
My advice btw, is to take some online courses on Udemy or the likes and get new skills on some particular programming language not the over inflated ones
