Greetings,
I would like to add an application to my hosted wordpress blog, this is not a plug-in. I am waiting to hear from the application developer regarding this, but thought I would ask the experienced masses of BHW for advice. I am hosted on Startlogic and have had problems with applications for my regular website. If I charged hosts would it help or is this just "operator malfunction" (me).

Thanks. :D

Are you talking about some other PHP functions that are not part of the WP install? If so I would put it in another directory such as /myApp/ under the root and it should not interfere with your WP install

The app is not part of the WP install. It's a swf file not php
Here is the squeeze page of the application.
hxxp://w**ww.magnetizemypage.com/
Here are the instructions from the User Guide:

"The pagemag.swf File.
As part of your download, you received a .swf file named pagemag.swf.
This is an Adobe Flash file that contains the P M application.
You'll want to upload this file to a location on a site you own. For example, if you own
http://www.theworldsbestsite.com, you may want to upload the pagemag.swf file to the main
directory of that site so that it's located at:
http://www.theworldsbestsite.com/pagemag.swf
Make a note of this location, as you'll need it in a moment."

I'm a noob to this and I'm not sure about the term "root".

My blog url looks like this: stuff.morestuff.com

the file manager looks like this:

stuff.morestuff.com 755 4.0 K Sat Jan 03 19:56:32 2009
open folder wp-admin 755 8.0 K Thu Oct 02 15:10:122008
open folder wp-content 755 4.0 K Thu Oct 02 15:25:06 2008
open folder wp-includes 755 8.0 K Thu Oct 02 15:10:17 2008
download [Edit] file index.php
etc.

Hope this explains my problem better.

Thanks,
