[UPDATED] BHW Member Levels

Explains a lot. Answers most of the questions I've been too scared to ask lol.

Thanks a lot for the detailed chart. No confusion for the newbies and other members. Thanks again. :-)

Regarding to the Premium Member title: i just noticed it yesterday, it doesn't bother me, it's just weird and looks odd. Not just because it's missing for some of us, but Jr. VIP and Premium Member are supposed to be two different things as explained by Apricot above. They always were.

Personally i like pretty much every change on the new forum except this bit. Just look at a Jr. VIP profile, now every Jr. VIP profile says 2 times Jr. VIP and most says Premium Member too one time. Why? One Jr. VIP title would be surely enough, i see why it's like this now, because we have the badge and for instance in your case the other Jr. VIP title is changed to MiT, but it's more like the exception, not the rule.
All in all, i think we had a better system for this on the old forum with the stars, one customizable user title and the Donor badge. I wouldn't have done anything else to this part than polishing the stars a bit and keep the rest intact.

And i always need to remind myself that it's just an online place, don't take it too seriously lol, but i guess i can't help myself and i'm too sensitive about the details. :)

No, all constructive feedback's welcome :) In regards to the stars and other things that haven't transferred across yet, it's not so much about us discarding them - it's more about the work involved in replicating them on the new platform - making everything exactly the same as it was on VB just isn't time-effective. Basically, it's the 80:20 rule - get the important things done and we can work on the trimmings as we go.

When we moved over, there was a huge wishlist of features we wanted to implement to help with the marketplace improvements. We're integrating these incrementally after extensive testing and debugging - it's a fairly labour-intensive process but it's important to get them done properly rather than quickly.

tl;dr - yes, we know you guys miss the stars. I'm sorry. We're doing what we can but other stuff first. ;)

I was excited for those to come back. I was hoping they'd bring that back, being that it's easier on the eyes for when you're quick scrolling. I had a discussion with @Apricot and we spoke about seeing if the old feature of editing your Jr VIP title would be coming back. I'd like to see that happen in place of having the duplicate 'jr vip'.

Overall though, loving the new changes, great thread.
Cheers!

At the moment the custom titles are a bit inconsistent. However, we have plans for that space. For now...

How do you get power user?

Hi,

I am fairly certain that Power User is achieved after crossing 600 posts (messages). That is referenced by another user here: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/how-do-the-rankings-work-in-bhw.129943/#post-1199111

Cheers!
Those ranks should still be the same (except for the stars) as they were before the forum migration.

but you can't pay neither with these stars, nor even with your blue nick, collect mollah instead ;)

i found these numbers are accurate, feel free to correct any of them

Does this mean I need to upgrade to a colour monitor now ?

I hear the new EGA video cards are a blast. I wanna try one out.

PS. Thanks for the post, Apricot. These questions come up way too often, now everyone knows.

@Apricot What about stars ? i need them it makes me look awesome. If someone already ask this please ignore.

Apricot answered that in the post below on November 3rd.
