Hey ya'll,

So haven't seen a thread about it, but i saw on amazon affiliates they have a change coming in June 2021.

Thought ill write it here as i know many of you have amazon aff websites (including me) or are thinking about starting one.

SOURCE :
https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gc/fee-changes?ref=nslp_at_G7HUJ7XUVPUBW65M_en-US_nslnk_2

Commission Changes :

Full-Size Appliances

Starting June 1, 2021, we will split Appliances into Full-Size and Compact categories, and lower the fee for Full-Size Appliances to 8% while keeping the fee for the Compact category unchanged.

Personal Computers

Starting June 1, 2021, we will raise the referral fee for the Personal Computers category from 6% to 8% to align with other electronic device categories.

Veterinary Diets
Starting June 1, 2021, we will implement a supplemental 7% fee increase in the new Veterinary Diets pet food category , bringing the new referral fee to 22% for this sub-category of pet products.
This fee increase covers the cost of maintaining the veterinarian confirmation process for Veterinary Diets, including the cost for a licensed veterinary service provider.
The referral fee percentage will remain at 15% for all other pet products.

Program fee changes
Renewed Program
Starting June 1, 2021, in addition to standard category referral fees, products sold within the Amazon Renewed program will be charged a Renewed program fee depending on category. Renewed cell phone devices and unlocked cell phones will be charged 2% on top of standard category referral fees. All other Renewed products will be charged 1% on top of standard category referral fees. "

Hope that helps and keep that in mind if these niches are relevant for you/ you can utilize that info to start a site around any of these niches.

Thanks for the update, mate
I've had my eyes on the pet niche for a very long time
Search volume is truly remarkable

Np bro, yup my eyes are on it too :) these commissions are too temptings to ignore now.

Instant 157% boost in shitty pet affiliate site boost in SERPs now, where your ROI sucks ass.

Find better niches that don't exist on Amazon. :D

PS. They will lower the pet food category after they've copied the top 3 products. Amazon is savage.

where can i find these updates on amazon website?

Thanks for the uodate. Looks like Amazon is tightening up.
You welcome, and that depends, they actually increased commish on some of their categories.

Sounds gross to me.

I'd rather make 30-90% with others, even if it converts at a way worse rate.

And the niches that don't even exist on Amazon (like VPNs for example) can be gold mines.

Fuck Amazon.

If I were you i would delete the f*** amazon part. Jeff is everywhere and hes def reading this :D

But hi i agree, u gotta remember tho - some people already have amazon niche sites, so adjustments can help them earn more, for you, if you have better niches def go for it.

Lolmao, good.

Yeah, I would add tables and link to different sites, not just Amazon. Only Amazon links is idiotic IMO.

The fees are still low for me. Thanks for the info.

Hey, your source is not working and I am unable to find these changes. Please send the link again.
