Update pages or no ?

Hi all good morning,

Just look at my sub-domain and i have a wordpress blog. Get 3 125 pages but only 251 are in "results" when i look in "site:domain" with Google.

So do i need to

1- make new content
2- update all pages to get all pages indexed

I've seen all the time all pages in all domains give me more visits and put new content give me nothing. So i do not understand why people always look for new content because Google love all old pages ?

New content has to exist for a while on the Internet so as Google has the time to find and review it. Old pages, as you say, are more trusted in a way, because they exist for more time and it guarantees their quality, to say so. Before deciding to update the pages keep in mind that after that update you'll have to wait a while to see if everything is alright and Google indexed your pages and all. So, to update or not to update, that is the question... all remains at your decision.

My suggestion would be try to update few 100 pages and see the results before proceeding to all
