This guy has just been featured on the Fast Company website and he has a mail order service, where he sharpens pencils - for $40 a pop! Here's a link to the Fast Company article - his is the first one, headed Artisanal Pencil Sharpener: http://www.fastcompany.com/3041944/...preneurs-who-won-big-by-thinking-really-small And here's his website: www.artisanalpencilsharpening.com Now, before you go buying pencil sharpening domains to jump on this method before it gets saturated, I did uncover a twist to the story - the guy is a comedian by trade and I think he started this whole thing as a joke. He even wrote a book and produced a 'how to' video (which is pretty funny and worth a watch). Fast Company clearly think it's a genuine business though - and it's innovative enough to warrant a write up - which is very amusing. But here's the reason I am mentioning it - that comedian does have an 'order now' button on the front page of the website and I am certain some people are booking the service. And if he has any sense, he will be fulfilling the extra orders he is undoubtedly getting today. Perhaps he even instigated this extra marketing himself - because who the fuck would not be happy sharpening pencils for $40 a time? So get your thinking cap on, throw the rule book out of the window, think of the most ridiculous service you can - and literally laugh all the way to the bank! And for those of you who are interested, here's his video - which I did find very amusing.
