Ross is free. Even though I won't officially condone his work. And I understand this forum only promotes legal law abiding activity. We all must admit his idea was groundbreaking at the time. Doubt it was Trump's idea or he would've pardoned him last time he was president.

He did enough time.

The feds used shady tactics on him and pushed an assassination plot that he didn't want to do.

They also stole a considerable amount of BTC from him and got caught with it, so God knows how much other shit was going on behind the scenes.

He did a lot of years for that crap-ass marketplace and should have gotten another chance.. 2 life sentences were way too much.

Well, if that's the case, then the Pharma companies' executives who manufacture opioids should go behind bars too. But anyway, I agree with you somehow. Facilitators of such illegal stuff should be locked up.

Keep him in jail and let the neighboring cells be available for those responsible for stealing BTC and creating the assassination plot

But it's easier to free the head of a billionaire drug scheme than to arrest corrupt feds and the responsible for those shady tactics.

Regarding “everyone deserves a second chance”, I strongly disagree, the names I mentioned earlier (and many others) for me can rot in jail, I don't think pedos, serial killers or those responsible for running the biggest virtual drug marketplace deserve second chances, but that's personal opinion.

Of course, they should. But it's easier to pardon this kind of people than take action against the corrupt feds, big names that act with shady intentions and CEO of billionaire companies doing even worse things

Lol you're comparing this dude to pedos and sex traffickers? Are you from a latin or South American country by any chance? If so, I know that the effect of a narco economy hits a lot of these countries particularly hard but you only have corruption in your own law enforcement, customs and even legal system to blame more than anything if so.

To everyone else, it's relatively innocent demand and supply. Because people outside any affected region don't know what's happening.
So with that being said, this dude has no reason to care about what's happening south of the US, anymore than people outside of china buying and selling apple and android devices need to concern themselves with what's happening against certain communities, such as the Uyghurs in china.

yep any federal crime he can pardon them (except himself), but not on state crimes.
He pardoned domestic terrorist and others that were convicted . They LOVE law and order they s ay, probably they mean the show as they all don't follow the law and love the ones breaking it. He will probably get some % from the BTC that the guy has left

At least tell me why you feel the kid selling drugs online is any more guilty than the stores selling booze then, at least on ethical grounds.
Both have the potential to cause damage if either type of product ends up in the hands of some reckless moron. But that doesn't mean they should be compared to rapists, pedos and serial killers. Also I'm definitely not 'liberal' anything.

I looked into the story a little more. At first I thought it was silly, but having looked into some details I would probably let the guy go as well.

I do think you are getting into highly dangerous territory when you are creating online marketplace where drugs can be sold, but ehh.
