I've set up a micro site for a niche which covers 2 products.
The blog has been setup more than two months ago, with ~10 article related to the niche.
I have done all the SEO I possibly could, submitted website to various backlink, submitted the sitemap to google and bing.
I have invested $200 in PPC too. But I am simply unable to generate any sales, even after getting decent number of hops.
PPC campaigns are also setup decent(Bing) and I've invested in FB ads too.

The gravity of both the products are more than 40, so I am sure nothing is wrong with the product.
I just want to know what could I be doing to increase conversions.

Content seems to be lacking - I would suggest adding more to promote the site and gain authority. However, good backlinks could always help - but at this stage, you may find it hard to get strong enough backlinks to gain SEO position.

What should one do to get ranked in Google for website like this? How long it might take tentatively?

Check the top websites that rank with the same product, maybe you website is not optimized to convert

Sorry for the noob question. But I am unsure as to how can I find the websites that are converting the most for the same product!

A whole 2 months and no success? Wow. That's awful. Usually people have success within 2 days max..

But back to the real world..

In that 2 months, you've done 10 articles. So that's 1-2 days work. Check.

You "submitted" your website to various backlink? That means you submitted the site to a few directories. Ok, 2 hours work, check.

Site submitted to google and bing. 5 minutes. Check.

Gave up on SEO at this point and invested $200 in ppc and some fb ads. 1 day's work. Check!

No sales yet. Gives up, cracks open a beer and comes to bhw to share tales of fantastic adventures and struggles.

    So, yeah..

In all seriousness. There's about 3-4 days of work in total for all that. what were you doing the other 55 days?

Oh, I just noticed this bit

"I have done all the SEO I possibly could"

I love that. In your mind you actually believe that you've reached the point of ultimate failure and you've done EVERYTHING you possibly could have.

When in reality, you could have spent 8 hours in the morning expanding the content for your site. That's going to be another 4-5 1000 word articles if you're slow, 8-10 if you're fast. Do that for 2 months and you've got 300-600 articles on your site.

2 hours a day could be spent reading link building books and guides.

    http://www.linkbuildingbook.com/
    http://www.ericward.com/book.html
    https://www.gotchseo.com/backlinks/

Lots and lots of great stuff you can do if you have more time than money there.

The last 6 hours of your day could be spent actually applying those methods. Emailing for guest posting opportunities, building web 2's, social profiles, business listings, high quality manual niche relevant comments etc.

Heck, you could even make that 4 hours and give yourself 2 hours for promoting via social media.

That'd involve creating a handful of fake accounts on facebook, joining groups, participating a little, then sharing both your content + other content.

You could be building up pinterest accounts manually to get traffic from pinterest.

In the right niche some tumblr works too.

Then, after SIX months of doing that, if you've still not made money, you can come here and tell us what you've been doing and ask for advice/direction on where you've gone wrong. (However, there's just no WAY if you did all that you wouldn't be making at LEAST $1k/mo)

I search the exact name of the product, on google and youtube. I check the first 10 results with the extension similarweb, that gives you info about the countries etc.

On that note, I'd also made a twitter handle for the same niche, sharing niche related content, content on the website and more or less building a social following for the twitter channel.

Also, I could have wrote 600 articles like you've mentioned, but all the microniche website guides that I've read about mention the need of having nearly 10~20 articles.
I also made a fake facebook profile where I'd joined few groups from the same niche, and kept creating a hefty network.
But facebook keeps limiting the profile so I left it at that.

Also, what I meant by 2 months is more or less like, setting up a blog, leaving it and it generates money in few weeks or so automatically,
But with the amount of SEO that I've done on the site, it isn't able to generate enough organic traffic at all.
On top of the little traffic it generates, there aren't any orders to get motivated from and keep working on the same task.

I think your traffic is not targeted. Getting 10 visitors targeted is same as getting 2,000 visitors untargeted

The way I've set up the PPC campaigns, I am sure that the traffic is highly targetted.
Only exact, phase keywords for the topic in hand are added in the keywords list.

Two months is a very small time. I've been building my brand from the past 6 months. I haven't made a single penny (haven't monetized), and I never thought of giving up. Keep doing what you are doing, make the necessary modifications where ever necessary. Hard work pays off some day.

Just keep sending traffic... You should also note that november and december are not that good for selling digital products. The most important thing is to not give up.

By the way, are you collecting visitors emails?

The "need", yikes, any site that says that is pretty bad, or very old. The more good content you have the better.

Nothing automatically generates money in a few weeks.

Motivation needs to come from within, from your long term goals.

You're either motivated to build a large, profitable business that will give you the life of your dreams, freedom, power and other good buzz words. Or you're not that bothered and are happy to just go to your job every day with the rest of the planet. Most people choose option 2. :)

Keep plugging away. New sites don't rank right away. Keep writing high quality content TAILORED FOR YOUR AUDIENCE & share across social. If it does it's job and provides value to the reader, it will be shared organically and provide you with immediate traffic.

Oh and expect to fail.. A lot. Learn from those failures and you'll be better for it down the road.

    I like splish splash's response.

Commit to this and genuinely work hard, that's different from "thinking" about working hard. Schedule your daily tasks and you'll realize how productive you can be when you're actually paying attention.

Yes, I'm collecting e-mails through Hustle Plugin, even so, the conversion rate is pretty bad. I think I need to change the looks n feels of the website if I want it to succeed!

I get your point :3 I'll write more content about the niche. And promote it on social media

If I have 100+ articles in the website n still no success! I'll then send a PM to you :p
