Twitter's Getting Nasty (Start Using Proxies!)

how the hell are you guys able to manage 150k-200k accounts??? I bought the pro version of tweet friend adder and there is NO WAY I could manage that many accounts, I could hardly manage 100 accts! But yes, I lost ALL of my accounts except for the few that were using proxies... Tweet friend adder pro does not even support private proxies (and I paid $250 for this POS!) or this would NOT have been a problem as I have 1000 elite proxies I use for other stuff... pisses me off... I should have looked closer at the features... it said it supports proxies, and I figure for $250 it must support private proxies... taught me a good lesson... Anyway, what is something I could use to manage 1000's of accounts?

well i got even the problem to manage 20 acc

I use custom, multi-threaded software that I wrote. I am not aware of any publicly available industrial strength Twitter management software. I'd put in some work to make mine a commercial product, but I'm not sure what the market for that is. Everyone says "I'd buy that!" but when it comes time to open wallets they don't :). Not worth the effort.

I manage 15 accounts with hootesuite.com and have never had a single issue...I can feed multiple RSS feeds into hootesuite and tell it to send updates to my twitter accounts so it looks like they are tweeting all day....

Same for me, I've got a lot more accounts than 15 but use hootsuite and haven't got an account suspended yet. It seems to mostly be affecting people creating accounts in the hundreds and thousands.

I think they might even have a bot following about me URLs and URLs posted in Tweets, looking at their ultimate destination, and tying/deleting accounts together that way.

I'm beginning to suspect the same thing. An offer will work very well for a day and then the next day, I'll get a total of like 10 clicks. Has anyone detected the referring URL of such a bot? I want to redirect it to some google search results or something.

Also having the problem of getting accounts created en masse to live for more than 24 hours, no matter WHAT I post to them.

Hi I am new to all this proxy business,I read about foxy proxy and installed it but when I tried using it I was sent to a page by some people called codeen who said they were recording my activities which made using a proxy point less what did I do wrong.

Just to give you all a heads up, Twitter is getting pretty good at linking accounts together. You should all start using proxies when using automated tools from multiple accounts over a short period of time - this applies to automated follow/unfollow, tweets, etc. They're banning first and asking questions later.

It looks to me like they're basically looking at the number of accounts that are accessed/updated from a single IP address over short periods. Even if you access through the API, this appears to still be an issue. The banning appears to be fully automated, as yesterday alone I lost over 1,000 accounts WHILE I was doing an automated batch of follows. Also, it's now official that your account needs to be "aged" for your tweets to show up in search results. Basically, for your first week post just a few, non-spam tweets. It's important to post some tweets, or you won't show up in search results regardless of how old your account is. After a week with a couple of "headed to the store" type tweets, you're all good.

This banning has caused me more than a few headaches this week. I'm going to have a mass funeral for all the accounts that died. But it inspired me to get creative and I'm mounting a comeback the likes of which they haven't seen before :).

The cleanup also provides an opportunity, because it kicked off a metric ton of spammers who won't be able to adapt - less competition :D.

There are false accounts in place that mainly "follow" the most popular users and when people follow these their accounts get banned, it's nothing new.

yeah their good. they don't like young aficionados like me either. ban very quickly and are very adamant about getting me out.

LoLoIoiIOIoL i got like $1222 worth of sales in a few hours though so i think that might be motivation to take it over :)

damn, the info i hook you newbies up with. geez. i should send some guys to collect. rofl

Uh oh, Craig is going to be taking over twitter!

I don't think so..I personally don't do sales at twitter but the demand i have for Twitter accounts makes me think that Twitter is still not saturated and people are earning good out of it :)

yeah, their traffic is cool but doesn't convert as good as some others.

** Top Converting
Country List 0 15061 - 31 31 0% $37.00 $1,147.00
i think i sent around 2.1 million DM's for that result ^^

I would have had more if they didn't get my dom nullrouted.
sent something about an "emergency" when clearly uses of the functions on a website is not a fucking emergency. heh. nice wording.

I just found out, that if you are using bit.ly on twitter,
and get your getting your accounts banned.

STOP USING BIT.LY!

Why, you might ask?
Because they are owned by twitter!

Also, apparently accounts start to get flagged after 90 - 120 messages
with the same link.

Hope this helps you guys!
Thank me if you think so (test)

Cheers.

WOW, thanks for the heads up. I just started on tweet later and have one tweet going every 20 minutes while my cam girl is working m-f 9am to 3pm and they are one sentence dirty quotes I made up with a link to her cam. Do you think that is enough to get me banned already?

I noticed I had only gotten 3 hits from 30 tweets. I hope I'm not already smacked down.

Also, anyone know of a mass twitter account creator?
This could also help out our link juice... considering the situation.
and as the Op first stated
"start using proxies guys"
multiple ips at that

Cheers.
