Im actor and fashion blogger popular in Spain, there're many people that want to steal my identity, I've reported many accounts everyday, but I want to get to verified to not be everyday denouncing fake accounts.

True, twitter is tricky to get verified on, without having a connection (agent, twitter employee, etc.) - I have verified accounts on Facebook, Spotify, Soundcloud, iTunes, Amazon, Google Play and a few others...
However, I am not verified on twitter, not really to concerned about it. But I would take a verification if offered
Your best bet would be to find a connection, I wouldn't pay any $$$ for a verification. Most likely it would be removed if found out.
Besides, social media networks come and go, who knows maybe Twitter will die in 2-3 years or it may last another 10...

I've looked into it pretty deeply, and it really comes down to someone with existing connection caring enough to lift a finger. There are people on there with millions of real fans with no verification, and people with a personal account who verified it just for fun because they work for a media company or something and just tacked it on to another verification in process... then they sell that verified account with the checkmark still attached.

You have some way to verify this? I've got same issue. Don't care so much about verification personally, but it would be nice and make things clearer for fans.

On top of that, I highly doubt someone who works at Sony would want to help an independent artist that is putting them out of a job.

And how can this help him get verified? I don't think you got his idea... He would like to get a Twitter verification badge (the blue one!) on his profile.. Just posting and verifiyng his mobile number won't help achieve this!
