Twitter Stuck At 2001 Following

I have 2 Twitter accounts that will only allow me to follow 2001 people.Any idea why this is?And most importantly,how do I get above 2001.My one account is 4 months old.My other account is only 3 weeks old.Any ideas will be great.

To avoid this problem in the future you should follow less than 1,980 people until you reach 2,000 followers

Mine is at the same 2001 and i have been told it won't move until you get around the same amount of followers as people following.

Once you hit the 2000 following, they will stop you until you hit 1800 folloers then
you can start to click the following button

after 2000 you just can do number of followers x( 110%)
