Well, this is a welcome suprise
They've been deleting many big twitter accounts in past few months. So I'd say don't be surprised if your account is gone after you wake up!
Well it's about time.
Sometimes I think twitter doesn't know what it's doing.
They've been very unstable since their IPO.
This is clearly seen by their decision to disable the public social analytic on the 20th of November.
Very nice if they have removed that limit.
how about the daily limit. will it change too?
Curious now what this means for the long and short term?
Time to step back as the smoke settles? Anyone have any thoughts?
That sounds really good
lol they will never do that
They're not removed it but increased it to 5k
very good news
This was probably done to ramp up user activity and attract new users towards the platform.

Cool to hear everyone's thoughts about this. I agree @avi619, this is definitely done to try and shoot their stock price up a bit, but ... really? It's a pretty lame move for a company trying to compete with FB, IG etc. Even when they announce things like removing the DM char limit, it's a pretty minuscule tiny move in my opinion, not really innovative?!
I agree. But at the same time, I'd think this would bring an increase in spammy activity, so they might clamp down in some other way on spam activity. Possibly be stricter about daily following/unfollowing, DMs, spam links, or whatever.
yeah that would suck.
I thought this was common knowledge? soz for not telling the rest of you all
Definitely - Make hay while the sun shines
I can appreciate this for IM, but I wonder what the rationale is. Does any real user really care to follow what 2000+ people have to say at any given time?
This will defo be the case.
Suppose we'll find out soon enough from those who test it out.
