Twitter Phone Re-verification Wave

No I had no SMS verification, but as I said above I move away from FL, now in transition period and I did not follow with FL these days

Ahh, this explains everything. I know two people who didn't followed in these days and had no issues. We probably should increase follow/unfollow delays and follow a bit less in the coming days.

Fuck.. This sounds bad. Is there any NOT FL users who had massive sms verification requests?
Well if its followlikers fault, then i guess there is nothing to worry about, they update software pretty quick.
Anyway, ill load some accounts into massplanner and check it out.

It is not FL's fault. I am not using any bot, I tried doing manual following only, yet my accounts suddenly started to get blocked couple of days ago. It is a change in Twitter that blocks your accounts when you do excessive following.

Where is wizard04, we need him !!!
My 10 accounts running on 1 IP are still running fine, I'm tweeting only pics with a few hasthags, but no links. The only link is in the pinned tweet.
I'm following 550-700 per day, no likes, no retweets etc.

"blocked" ? Can you please be more specific? How old are your accounts? How many people you follow and how fast?

Did you had any notifications from twitter while following manualy?
It may be combination of different factor such as delays/account's per ip/account age etc. I know some people still running accounts with following 700+ daily. So it would be good to exchange some info and try to find common patterns :D

Ok, have just checked Twitter Supremacy, Twitter Money Bot and TwtDominator threads. Zero complaints regarding sms verification. The picture is getting clear..

FL is the most popular bot, so it would make sense if Twitter would work on finding FL footprints. However, I believe they see any bot. They just can't ban all spammers. Twitter is the third biggest social network in the world. If they would ban all bots, they probably would drop to number #10, or so..

I've just checked MassPlanner group on fb, there are a lot of people who got hit with sms verification.

I wonder why there isn't much discussion on the forum about this situation. Is there anyone who has 100+ accounts and didn't got SMS verification for atleast 50%?
I run exactly 100 accs, haven't got any re-verification request lately and even if i do, i can select between email or SMS, SMS-only is quite rare. I use pretty aggressive settings, i follow and unfollow 1k-1k per day (or the max limit which can be less, but i always hit the following limit), short delays. 4-5 months old PVAs, email verified too, 2 accs on the same proxy, 1 domain per account. Around 75 tweets per day per acc, all with images and urls (different domain for each account). Not using any of the mentioned/popular bots.

I'm also kinda clueless what to do with this issue. Its not an option to just get SIM cards and activate all of them over and over. Even if this would be the software - to me this seems like Twitter found a way to find non-user accounts.

Just curious are you using followliker or another twitter bot to run your accounts?

This may be a proxy problem. Do your proxies leave any footprints? Your whole IP range may be banned.

I don't think this is proxies problem. I use my IP for 5 accounts and private proxies for others(5acc/proxy). And i have sms problem.

Some of my accounts don't following, because i follow user's followers. And some users are suspended, so FL can't scrape users for follow. And that accounts who don't follow works fine with no sms-verification, but others on same IP who follow, asking... I confirm phone number, but after ~100 follows they ask sms verification again...

I noticed after a while following, the notifications stop that i'm following. i'm indeed added to their follower list but they aren't receiving a 'notification blah followed you' even though the settings clearly have 'notify when followed by another user' . these antics seems intresting being as though their disabling features/features aren't working on the site in the name of 'combating spam' . seems unprofessional to me. their essentially lying to their members by having that 'notify me when followed' box.

By blocked I don't mean banned, I meant "locked". After phone re-verification accounts are usable again, but if I try to do any following again, they get blocked again, asking for phone re-verification again .. and so on.
My accounts are not that old, 1-2 months, I have 10 accounts, using no proxies and was doing 500 follows with 500 unfollows daily, semi-automated with a chrome extension called "Twitter follower" that adds some small delay between each follow. For unfollowing I was using "unfollowerstats", a free web app similar to crowdfireapp, which also adds a bit of delay between each unfollow. Maybe a bit reckless for not using proxies, I know, but it was working fine up until now.

When I tried to follow manually same thing happened. Tried to space out the followings: followed one person, waited 1 minute, followed another, account got blocked again after only 2-3 followings.
It is possible that account age is a factor, since my accounts are fairly new, it gets triggered after maybe 100 follows. The people reporting with 700+ daily followings could be using older accounts.
Another thing could be my IP address getting flagged somehow, so now any suspicious behavior from my IP triggers sms re-verification. Though I beleive account age is more likely, since most of the people here reporting it have fairly new accounts.
