This thread is only for the Twitter portion. Other aspects asked elsewhere.
I have music videos which have been focus tested and show much higher than average sharing potential. I am actively working on FB, YT, artist site, and mailing list aspects, but I am personally not a Twitter user. I just signed up and reserved artist name, but that's it.
Looking to do any and everything possible to maximize the number of eyeballs viewing the vids so long as the primary accounts are never jeopardized, and the artist brand is never tarnished.
It's not about bragging rights for me, so I don't necessarily see any value in buying fake followers and the like unless it is truly beneficial in bringing in real fans somehow. If any method DOES help to generate real followers, I'm all ears.
I recently started using BuzzBuilder to manage personas, and have identified similar artists whose streams I can capture and respond to. I am currently figuring out how to handle the proxies and such to maximize having BuzzBuilder manage the social accounts and stream responses.
I have a decent understanding of what can be done on YT and FB regarding targeting scraped users and the like, but Twitter is all new.
If I understand correctly, Twitter just went live with their own native video right? 30sec? I haven't seen any. Do they autoplay? If so, I could create engaging teaser vids and link out to the real deal.
As for generating as many real followers as possible, is there a Twitter equivalent of spamming up FB groups or something like that? A particular best practice for harvesting a competitor's followers? Best practices for linking YT of FB vids?
I don't mind getting persona accounts banned so long as max number of people exposed to vid and primary acct is unscathed.
These are my thoughts so far, but I'm interested in anything else I might be missing that could pump up the view count and get some buzz going.
