This thread is only for the Twitter portion. Other aspects asked elsewhere.

I have music videos which have been focus tested and show much higher than average sharing potential. I am actively working on FB, YT, artist site, and mailing list aspects, but I am personally not a Twitter user. I just signed up and reserved artist name, but that's it.

Looking to do any and everything possible to maximize the number of eyeballs viewing the vids so long as the primary accounts are never jeopardized, and the artist brand is never tarnished.

It's not about bragging rights for me, so I don't necessarily see any value in buying fake followers and the like unless it is truly beneficial in bringing in real fans somehow. If any method DOES help to generate real followers, I'm all ears.

I recently started using BuzzBuilder to manage personas, and have identified similar artists whose streams I can capture and respond to. I am currently figuring out how to handle the proxies and such to maximize having BuzzBuilder manage the social accounts and stream responses.

I have a decent understanding of what can be done on YT and FB regarding targeting scraped users and the like, but Twitter is all new.

If I understand correctly, Twitter just went live with their own native video right? 30sec? I haven't seen any. Do they autoplay? If so, I could create engaging teaser vids and link out to the real deal.

As for generating as many real followers as possible, is there a Twitter equivalent of spamming up FB groups or something like that? A particular best practice for harvesting a competitor's followers? Best practices for linking YT of FB vids?

I don't mind getting persona accounts banned so long as max number of people exposed to vid and primary acct is unscathed.

These are my thoughts so far, but I'm interested in anything else I might be missing that could pump up the view count and get some buzz going.

Go legit all the way. Use reddit to share your work and twitter, if your content is good many people will follow.

Yeah. I'm thinking it's going to be a more or less legit route. Been studying Reddit up and down lately, and strategizing for it. Reddit almost seems too easy. We'll see. LOVE any pointers there, but I don't see a Reddit section here. As for fake followers and the like, big numbers are only helpful to me to the extent that they catalyze real followers. If it could tarnish the brand and isn't paying off in real fans, then it's useless to me.

Really just trying to examine all the angles for Twitter. Easy enough to scrape the right users, but I figure folks on here would know a lot better than I would what works.

Can I do all I need through BuzzBuilder or will I need some kind of Twitter bot to automate the following/unfollowing and such as I target the right user base?

Still trying to figure out how to incorporate video since the vids themselves are 3-5 minutes. Teasers on Twitter video? Sneak peaks of upcoming tracks? Any reason why it matters if a link goes to FB video or to YT video?

Buy followers to get past some of the limits if need be. Buy a bot to automate following/unfollowing/fav/comment/dm... reach out to other accounts for share4share.

For twitter build some nice looking accounts, pick a few accounts that are in the same niche and have a large follower base. Start following those users, and wait for some of them to follow you back. Unfollow the ones that are not following back. You need some fake followers to get passed the first 2k limit. Keep at this, building the accounts and in a couple of weeks you should have quite an active and nice follower base to promote to. You can do other stuff to get more attention to your twitter accounts like re-tweeting stuff from other people and yes, if you're going to do this with more than one account automating it by using a good bot would be the best way to go.

Is the 2k limit a specific thing, or a general guideline? Is that the magic number to avoid ban for following too many others?

Do people look at my account when I retweet? What would be a good retweet strategy in my case? Videos from competitors?

A particular bot I should look into?

Any of this stuff that BuzzBuilder can do for me since I am now digging into it?

How to entice follow backs from competitors? Links to giveaways? Just a certain percentage tend to do so automatically?

Any particulars relating to video or music videos?

- The 2k is a limit imposed by twitter, you will not be able to follow more than 2k people if your followers aren't at least 2k, so if you don't get some fake followers for that you will get stuck and not be able to follow more than 2k.
- people get a notification when you retweet them, and yes some might come back to your account to check it out
- there are several bots that you can find on this forum, i've built one as well( Mass Planner) , you can check them all out and see which one best fits your needs
- don't know about buzzbuilder, never tried it
- not sure why you want follow backs from competitors, just concentrate on regular people that might want what you have to offer
- not really, though images and video go really well on twitter, so you should have an easier time promoting them

Ok. thx. I wasn't being very clear. What I meant wasn't following competitors, but finding active followers of those competitors... and following those followers for follow-backs. Is there some rule of thumb about how much you leave to the bots and what you do manually that tends to work best? And... does Twitter ban IP's or links? Meaning... do I need to have the personas come from different proxies, and if they start hammering a certain video link, should I make sure it is redirected to avoid the overall artist site from getting banned?

It's not letting me edit the post I just made for some reason, but some add'l Q's: When the clones start tweeting video links, should they do so in their own words, or is there some benefit to having the artist account make the initial tweet and having the clones retweet the artist tweet? Should each clone just blast it every 10 minutes during peak until banned, or is there a specific formula that avoids bans... or perhaps using multiple redirects so each tweet has a different link? As for the posting frequency of dummy content up until I'm ready to blast artist videos... not quite sure I understand the point of that. How is posting random pictures helping me to gain followers for the clones? Don't people just get irritated with so many posts with no real purpose? Sorry, but I guess this is the key thing I just don't get about Twitter, but clearly I need to understand the flow better.

I have a Bot that is able to reply users on tweets from specific search feed (e.g. competitors mentions or general music words and/or geotergeting/language -whatever twitter search allows).
people get notifications about reply so this leads to highly mentionable advertising.
ofcourse this is SPAM - so I use fake twitter accounts whitch could be blocked anytime.
Nevertheless It gives up to 50% of click ratio (depends on message and the number of automated messages in search feed).

In your case - just paste youtube link in tweet and this YT video will be perfectly embeded to twitter - user can just click play and watch video.
You do not offer to buy anything so I thisk you'll get a lot of likes, retweets and favourites.
Limits of this bot is about 1400 replies/day/1 bot.

would this potentially be interesting to you?
I can let you try my Bot with your fake twitter account for some time. I just need stats afterall.

I've just been realizing that this is the next phase I need to get working... replies. Not sure if I really want to automate that part fully, though.

I'm on a mac, so bot would need to run on mac or in browser.
