Here’s what you need to know:
Posting Duplicate Content to Multiple Twitter Accounts is no longer allowed

If you manage more than one Twitter account – you can no longer post the same or similar original content to those accounts.

Posting the same content more than once to a single Twitter account is not allowed

If you are like many major brands, and recycle the same tweet more than once on a single Twitter account - you’re now in danger of suspension or termination from Twitter.

How is this new though? These were already among the rules. If you did any of these, the duplicate tweets were ghosted from Twitter search.

the difference is they actually will terminate or suspend you for this now, not just ghost a tweet from search
 
This was brought to everyone's attention a bit back, it's always been a risk though, and could always git you in trouble.

Honestly i hardly doubt it, or at least i can't see how this could work in practice. You can post the same tweets by mistake or simply not realizing that they're not unique. What if you post short tweets, there's bound to be duplicate content among those tweets. Will they suspend these accounts?

Posting duplicate content were already considered as spamming and spamming could lead to suspensions, especially if those are repetitive violations.

twitter's been recently suspending a ton of accounts. they were a lot more relaxed before. I doubt they'll randomly suspend a person accidently tweeting or multiple people sharing a news article, but they are definitely cracking down. a lot of accounts being deleted
 
I think twitter will not survive for a long time. I guess they are still alive because of Trump popularity. Total suicide....
 
certain policy changes are just crap to be honest and this is just one of them really , the social experience will just gets boring tbh whether be it for marketers or just normal twitter users . i feel like these social networks need better replacements

This is fucked up! So I am no longer able to post the same post / article more than one time? What If I wanted to post an older article I have posted some months ago again?
 
I wonder who will create engaing content for twiter when all imers will go away? Average users??? "godd morning everyone" (post went viral???) "hello - I had pizza for breakfast" (viral???) total nonsense
 
So we're going to have to rewrite each tweet about 10 times, making us have 10 more tweets than were originally scheduled.

So instead of having 2000 tweets waiting to be scheduled, it'll be 20,000 and at a slower pace.

Anybody any other thoughts on how to get around this?

Not a way around as such, but limiting your chances of being punished. That's what I meant.

I'd be surprised if you were punished for tweeting something again that was tweeted a month ago - everybody knows that not everybody lives in the same timezone and so doesn't see everything.

From what I've been reading, this change of policy is because of the Russion fake bots that happened during the election.

Therefore, I now think this is much more about 'bots' tweeting the same thing that another account has tweeted, as opposed to a single account tweeting the same thing that it happened to tweet 3 weeks ago.
 
noticed it earlier, may be 2 weeks ago. I have 20 accs in Tweetdeck and now you can't select them all for 1 same tweet. RIP.
