What are the follow/unfollow limits for Twitter?

Back to your question. From my personal experience, new accounts typically I can follow between 100 and 400 spaced out about five seconds a piece before I hit a block. Aged accounts, it can be anywhere from 400 up to... I think one account I have my VA can follow over 1,400 in five second intervals over the course of two hours before getting the "you can't follow more people at this time" warning.

All accounts vary, though. My experience with Twitter and Instagram have been similar. Older accounts with more followers get more daily follows before hitting the wall, sometimes upwards of 1,400 to 1,600 in a day's time.

Well this all escalated quickly lol

I'm curious to see more people's responses, @Sherbert Hoover 's response is a bit surprising to me honestly, I have some pretty old accounts (5+ years old) that I used to run day in and day out for following/unfollowing, but I've gotten several suspended that were a pain in the ass to recover recently, and I was only following 100ish per day per account with a 10-15sec delay.

Could just be that FollowLiker is utter garbage now. Not saying it is, but seen a lot of hate lately so that could have something to do with it.

I've heard the same issues with FollowLiker several times. This is one of the reasons I use VA's and manual tools. It's more expensive in the long run, but $100 a month for a VA to handle follow-unfollow on five Twitter accounts, which are rising by about 2,000 or so targeted followers a month... that's a penny per follower. I'll take that.

The following process is currently being performed with the JavaScript codes in that thread I made two years ago. The unfollowing is being done with a subscription on ManageFlitter, capping at 800 unfollows per day per account.

FL is shit when it comes to Twitter automation. I bought it last year, used it for only 1 week and then uninstalled it. Worst 97 bucks ever spent

All accs got hit with pw resets and phone verification requests and these accounts were all several years old lol.

Nice, thanks for the info! I'm not opposed to hiring a VA for my accounts, but I may just mess around with building a browser-based bot that runs that JavaScript and unfollows through ManageFlitter just as an experiment to see if I can get back to higher follows/unfollows per day.

Either way, glad to know it's possible to follow more than 100 without getting slapped. I think a moral of the story here is "how" you follow/unfollow can significantly impact results, and not just necessarily "how many" - though with new accounts I would definitely play it slow - manually or otherwise.

Using MP and I just got a PW reset but I got no clue of to what settings I need to put it.

I followed 147 today but I should have stuck with my original setting as I had it at 75 per day but when it was finished I turned it on again gheghe

Currently I got it set to:

Wait between 5 and 15 min before each new operation
Follow between 5 and 10 people per operation
And I take a 30 min break after every 25 people.

A VA is a Virtual Assistant which usually is a company in a tier 3 country who put their employees to work to do your tasks you instructed them for.

You can follow up to 5,000 accounts until such time as you have close to 5,000 followers, at which point your limit goes up by 5,000 to 10,000.
