Hi
Has anybody noticed that, if you create new account on twitter than you have to confirm that email address that you used while creating account.

I think twitter is trying to reduce spam by introducing such a change.

Thanks

get a catch all email address account and you'll be able to by-pass this

ya but i guess he is trying to say that twitter is now requiring you to confirm the email were as before you didnt even have to use a real email and could create an account

He understood the question entirely... but since he's a blackhat, he looked for a solution, not an opportunity to bitch about the problem ;-).

His solution is viable; buy a cheap domain, set it up for catchall(you can even use Google Apps for this now) and then mass create twitters, then mass validate.

If you're feeling frisky, code a bot to do it :P

Anywho, it's probably more about validating live and active users than it is about slowing the speed of spam.

It's important to keep in mind that Twitter is on a quest for the web 2.0 riches, so understanding their level of user engagement is key to their goal.
