Not true. BHW use to be down very often because I joined. You joined 9 months after I did, but I'm sure many others remember when BHW was slow and down. It has since realized that I am here to stay and stays online.

Twitter is the say way most likely. After it realized I was serious about having an account, it decided to come back so that some people would have a life again. Such sad folks...

Now head straight to G00gle, create an account with it- gmail Y0uTube etc- I just hope it will go down and people will switch to other search engines:D

Twitter initially said on its status blog that its engineers were investigating access problems to the site. It then said it resolved the issue. Apparently that wasn't the case, though, because about three hours later, Twitter removed the "resolved" part and said that the "issue is on-going and engineers are working to resolve it."
 
@sampullara (software engineer at twitter) tweeted why it was down:
we tried to increase the 140 character limit but the site kept going down so we had to revert the change #twitterproblems
