Hi all, I have butchered a twitter bot script I found on github and I have a few questions about promoting my website.
What the script did originally was just search for tweets related to a hashtag(s) I select and retweet them.
I have added the ability to also like the tweet 2/3 chance, add the tweet author to a list I created 2/3 and follower the author 1/2.
I noticed that one of the bot's was in a very popular niche and started spitting out retweets way too fast, would have been around 2500 a day at least. So, I added the ability to limit the retweets each day to a random number between 500 - 700 and also I limited the follows each day to 30 - 40. I added a few images to each account just to help make them seem normal although it's pretty obvious that they are not. I would like to add in some way to tweet niche related material/images in the future to help make it a little more natural.
These have been running for a few days now and they are doing quite well, all have more followers than following and the retweets for retweets, likes and thanks keep coming in.
This was all just a bit of fun and to see if I could do it but, they are related to my niche ecommerce site and I wondering how I would go about using these bots to send traffic my way. Adding the direct link in each description would be a very bad idea I'm guessing so, would url shorteners be good enough or should I buy a .xyz for each and redirect to my main site?
Any ideas are welcome, thanks
