Twitter Ban Wave Back at it again thread

I use my own bot and I've been hit too, so it's not FL or MP specific

even when only following/unfollowing (no tweet, no like, no RT) : got banned
I decreased the number until less than 10/day : still banned
So that's why, as @HoNeYBiRD I thing the following action is the main reason of beeing caught

but I noticed there is a delay between the "bad" action and the ban : following on day 1 usually gets me beeing banned the day after

So, I am just tweeting for now (started yesterday), hopping it's enough to stop this massive ban wave
unfortunetly, not following people means a big loss in visibility
not sure that tweeting only is worth the effort

The problem with twitter is that recently the Twitter CEO got his account hacked, so now they are cracking down on security. Which means the ban hammer bot is on high alert, scanning anything and everything suspicious.

It's not following and unfollowing, or at least not just that. I turned off FL a few days ago but turnned on Roundteam to do retweets. Today I got hit with SMS verification and Roundteam has been unauthorised from my account.

I have accts that are running 10-20 min random delay between follows with daily caps of <70 & 20-30 likes/day.. no link tweeting, and still SMS or LOCKS.

In the realm of speculation, I would guess TW is trying to push people off their network who cannot SMS verify their accts -- cheap bastards without phones and large TW acct farmers.

By far, my accts with above benign following limits are being hit more often then the mature accts that follow heavily. It seems like TW is trying to push all active accts to SMS verify & its algo is running through a list or something..

Seems like things are calming a bit recently.. I am seeing maybe 50% less of the SMS and LOCKS I experienced 3-4 days ago.

I don't see why are you guys complaining that much. SMS, pw reset , temp locks are not BANS.Ban imply permanent,or temporary blockade that you cannot fix . SMS and pw reset are expected to hit every account regardless of what is it doing. There is no free pass to own a account with no sim card (or other service) covering it. I noticed that logging from new computer or browser and then following always lock account. How many of you get perma bans?I think permaban is only thing worth mentioning and analyzing .Some of you guys want to overextend and have more accounts that can handle, and then complain.Handling sporadic locks is something that must be counted on as normal thing. Am i wrong or people are becoming lazy? IF somehow money should come full automatic.

People are becoming lazy? Dude, we are in 21 century and we wanna work smart and automate everything. Of course it's funny when someone with few accounts comes here and complains about SMS locking. But do you realize that a lot of people here have 100+ and even 5k + accounts? And they had some serious fully automated income for months. So obviously they are not happy now when they have to re-verify phone numbers of 5k accounts daily lol.

By the way I got lots of permanent suspensions. I guess other people too.

I'm one of 'those guys' who has multiple 100's of accounts.

This wave has been painful.

Here's a little of what I've tried. I'd like to say I've learnt something but I'm not sure I have.

A little about my set up first. Some accounts use proxies, some dont. We have several machines running FL with about 100 - 200 accounts on each. All of our accounts have sims attached (it's alot of sim cards and sim free phones)

IF they only tweet we end up with probably about 4 SMS a day.

IF they follow - no matter what setting (including 1 an hour!) we end up with an SMS or EMAIL lock

IF we just have FL tweet and we manually follow then we last about a day before we get SMS'd.

IF we pause FL and use hootsuite to tweet we still get locked after following!

We have turned off any DM's, RT's, Likes and Unfollows

We've tried multiple settings and what not - from building a seperate project to just do all the follows between 7 - 9am in the morning (1000 follows) to 1 an hour!

Simply - Twitter does not want us following anyone at the moment.

These accounts are a mixture or both old and new! Some are 7 years old. You can follow more people (but only by 50 or so).

Anyone got any ideas. I spoke with FL customer services and they suggested turning all accounts off apart from one and seeing what happened. I had to explain that to do that would reduce our daily revenue to nothing and thats not really an option.

Finally - I did use Manage Flitter on some accounts - the same thing happened.

I have 2 2+year aged accounts. Following 1000 per day each on MP. Had no problems at all until last night and this morning. i got hit with the sms verification both times on both accounts

I am full time twitterer and I have the same problem, running about 250 accounts. When I start following I get SMS verification. When I send tweets (lots of I get email verification). All accounts run on proxies. I set up today one account (16 hours ao) on the VPS IP and let it run. So far it follows up to 350 and tweets 1200 tweets a day. It is still alive. Will see tomorrow what has happened. On some accounts I had a look into the data history - especially the log in IPs. The all have been created with US IP, and weeks later there was another log in with a different IP, then I bought them and locked in with a US proxy, again a different IP. Account has mail.ru and Russian phone number. Thats for all my accounts except that one that I created today and runs on the VPS IP (EU). So maybe we should look closer to what is in this data setting, maybe we find there the solution. I am more on skype then here, online all day, so if you want to contact me (erichon15). Guys if you follow more than 200 per day its nothing weird that you have locks and sms.
I think key to keep low sms and locks number is low following limit.

I've said this before and I'll say it again Twitter security is at level red because the CEO got his account hacked, lol so they have to fix this problem it looks very bad on twitters end because it shows weakness, thus the security is super tight

Some of you who have replied to this thread don't understand what the thread is about. Those of u coming in here basically saying to suck it up and that this happens all the time.
Let me tell u wa the thread is for.
The thread is for helping each other out, we don't need u to state obvious that there's lock and sms verifications because duh it does happen. The thread is to let ppl know if and when you get hit to warn others that the purge is coming so it can save some of us the hassle of having to unlock 100s of accounts, and if anyone can share what they did that lead to it then be my guess, but don't come in here staring obvious stuff.... Be positive and share poistivity.

Hey there all

I have around 100 twitter accounts, everyone with a unique EU proxy. They follow/unfollow and followback each day. They occasionally re-tweet and like specific accounts' posts. They all run on Massplanner. I also have the sim cards for all of them. I am losing 1-2 each day but i can sms verify them, so no big deal there. I just scaled down their stats.

On the other machine i have around 700 twitter accounts, pva and fresh, running of Followliker. They do the same with the eu ones but are on us proxies, 5 per each. I am losing around 5-10 per day. I scaled down there as well...

Let's hope that this will end in the future
