Twitter Ban Wave Back at it again thread

I'm going with 350/day at the moment and seems to be safe. Will start to unfollow and see what happens before increasing that number.

I think they changed to be more aggressive, not just for temporary banning.

My trial - fresh made account, NSFW, following more than 200 during the 3days.
And got locked 2times.

I'm not getting any suspensions, but had some lockd. I made the big mistake of buying Twitter accounts a while back and forgetting to remove the mobile number that was added in the profile. So I lost quite a few as I didn't have the mobile.

It's strange - you can have the email address for the account, yet they won't let you change the password via email, you need the mobile number. This is without the option ticked in settings.

Got 12 accounts banned 2 days ago.
mix between following 30-70, 200-400, and 600-700
delays 30-70, 45-80, 35-55
pausing accounts for a little while.

Complete bans, not just locks? How old were the accounts?

you didn't have access to the sms re-verify correct?

im still getting locked even though its not EVERY time it's close but that's because i follow/unfollow

however, im always only locked once and nothing happens after that. adding 500-1000. unfollowing 200-500.

They were suspended, not locked. Had to email them was able to get a few back. Few were from May 2015 and some were basically brand new.
Had groups of 4 accounts to each proxy and they all got suspended, so something must of triggered something. They been running on same proxy since made and only ever slowly increase follow/unfollowing. When they got suspended I havent messed with the account in about month so it was weird.

Nope no access to any type of confirmation just straight suspended. Ya I seen twitter ban waves before but never had really major major issues till this time around. So, I just decided to let pause accounts for awhile and adjust my delays and what not.

Maybe they also lowered the number of accounts per proxy to 2-3 because this is a pretty clear indicator for spam/bots.

Were the 4 accounts all running at the same time?

The thing about this is if you walk into a library you can often see 100+ computers all connected using the same IP address. You'd get people logging in and out of Twitter all the time, so they must look for a pattern of some sort.

If you use Follow Liker you can set it so that X accounts use the same proxy, HOWEVER, they don't use them at the same time. So you can use 3 accounts on the same proxy but it only logs into account 2, once account 1 has done it's tasks.

This to me looks a more sensible way, rather than having accounts all following/unfollowing at the same time using the same proxy. I'd probably limit it to 3 accounts though, which still gives each account 8 hours per day.

When ever i sign in somewhere probably, wonder if same thing happened before. so they can get a footprint.

To be honest everyone there does not seem to be a pattern - it just seems like they are at Red Alert. On Friday I have over 400 accounts SMS lock and I had to unlock them. Turning the FL settings back on means I risk that happening again. They were only tweeting.

So.... I guess we just have to ride it out.

That doesn't add up unless you can bend the time. lol

With that delay you follow 12 users per hour, 12 x 24 = 288/day. :)
Yea, I know. That was an estimated average number. Haven't calculated it. I don't always follow 350 with an delay of 5 minutes but it shows that it sucks.

Yes, it's just too slow to bother with.

I was thinking this is possible.

Very good point
