Years back I loved Twitter. Once I started getting a handle on FB Ads, I started neglecting Twitter. While FB still does ok for me, it doesn't do as well as it use to (for me at least). So I started going back to Twitter (Twitter Ads that is) & must say, not only has their targeting improved, so has the intent of the users clicking on those ads.

I've had success in 3 areas of Twitter arbitrage. Would love to hear other member's experience in this area (the good / bad / ugly).

Adsense Arb
Shocked that this still works. Like any play in this space, you need a high CTR tweet that gets those CPCs at .10 or under. You also need to constantly be testing ads (images / copy). I was never a fan of ad arb as I felt I always had to be on top of it, but if you monitor closely, it still works

App Installs
I was managing ad spend for an app & found that I was able to get installs (iOS) at a pretty decent rate (higher than FB, lower than Pinterest), with pretty good user intent. Client was happy. I don't personally own any apps, but if you develop apps or manage buys for an account, pitch using Twitter Ads as an option

Multi Offer Article
This is the bread & butter. A high CTR tweet going to a "review style" article . Not only do you get money from Adsense and conversions from those offers (affiliate deals mainly), you now have the ability to retarget that user across multiple social media channels.

I have played with the thought of using Twitter ads to promote a blog.
What are the CPMs like and what CTR do you consider good on Twitter?

I doubt it'll work really well with display ads, unless you already have a popular Twitter account.

I've hit 2.5% on CTRs, it brought the CPCs down to .08. (US) If you're doing it for a blog (like the adsense ad arb play, where you're trying to get multiple pageviews per user), you can just bid a manual low cpc (don't go by Twitter's recommendation unless you're looking to blow through your budgets). Just be sure to constantly be testing creatives & tweet copies.

Aren't twitter ads expensive as fuck? I remember checking it out once and couldn't believe the ridiculous cost

If you used their automated / recommended bidding, you'll get destroyed (at least, that was my lesson). Once I started with manual bidding and saw what was working, I was then able to increase it and get a higher impression share.

Anyone know where to buy
"Twitter Accounts with ready to use Ad Credits" maybe with attached email-account/proxy as well.

Can't seem to find a good solution. Thanks.

Would this work with ecom brand in liquor space? Say a hangover vodka company? Agency took them on as new client and Currently testing out media buying across multiple platforms. Never thought about Twitter though!
