Nope. Haven't read them and don't plan too. My lj buddies doesn't like it and well... we are "ruitomo" so if they don't like it then it had a high probability of me not liking it too

Also, the main protagonist (from what I can glean on my rl friends' ramblings) is an angst, guilt-ridden vampire (if i'm wrong, i apologize). Not my cup of tea.

I wasn't impressed with the first movie, but for a "low budget supposed to be cult following movie", it was okay I guess. Helped that I had read the book so I knew what was missing ^_^

I'm hoping this movie with the big budget behind it will be awesome.
