How come a Lifetime License makes you eligible for the source code?

The maximum you can get is a working copy of the software. Hope you get that.

So your business is trashed - you should of listened to the old sayings, especially: "do not put all your eggs in the same basket", or "don't count your chickens until they have hatched".

You have paid for a lifetime license - thats the lifetime of the software, not your lifetime and no where in there gives you the right to source code.

Saddest thing is that TA is no longer here most people will miss it even if they didn't use it and were waiting for "the golden method to make money with twitter + TA"

Hi for all.

I bought my license just two weeks ago. However, I choose to trust the judgment of the author, and wait with patience, understanding that goes through a delicate situation. And if TA does not return, it's only a stumble of bad luck for all us.

Clearly, release the source code of TA, it would be madness. This great software belongs to its author, and he deserves to take advantage of it to mitigate the situation it faces.

But the fact remains that customers deserve a solution. Maybe this solution may be something simple like an upgrade that remove for a while the validation TA does in the author's servers.

Just my two cents. Peace.

1. It is not the developer's responsibility that you based your business on his product. Not to be a dick, but that is your fault. Much like the auto industry bailouts, that wasn't such a big deal because those companies are large... It was a big deal because there are 100 businesses within a 10 mile radius of this location and yours that rely on Ford, Chevy, Chrysler, etc for their business.

It is not the same for Twitter and TweetAttacks. They are absolutely not forms of income that you should base your life off of. And if you do.. Well, GLWT.

2. You are not entitled to anything. If the developer had 1/2 a brain, which I assume they do; the license would be for either the lifetime of the software or the lifetime of Twitter. How can they guarantee that..

A.) Twitter will be around when you are 90 years old.
B.) The developer will not die before you do.
C.) That something like this would not happen.

That's absurd and so is your basis for their source code. They've likely got tens of thousands of man hours in that software and just because you bought a lifetime license does not give you the right to molest their code with your cheap outsourced programming nonsense. People who work on stuff like that treat their CODE like a jewel. Because it is. And if for some reason this whole thing blows over or gets tossed out.... Imagine their remorse for GIVING AWAY their CODE for FREE.

3. They're being sued for SELLING a tool that encourages abusing Twitter's TOS. So there's probably tens of thousands of clients.

Imagine how much the amount they're being sued for would multiply if they GAVE the tool away FREE. That would be the second stupidest thing they could possibly do besides giving you their source code.

Bottom line, you are not entitled to jack nothing. If you bought the license yesterday, that's just TDB. You should not be basing your income, let alone your BUSINESS off any one tool. If you do, then it is nobody's fault but your own that you're in this situation.

.... Everything that ever happens to you in your life can always be traced back to something that YOU could have done differently. Blaming them for things happening to you is just a front so that you don't have to face the fact that it's your own fault.

Nobody *should* or *has to* release any source code at all at any time unless the creator decides to do that at some point during the sw lifetime for his own reasons. If the customer is not satisfied with a closed source approach, he shouldn't buy it, easy. And this comes from a guy that's been involved in developing opensource and bsd for more than a decade along with commercial sw.Then, TA is not some super obscure program based on inexplicable AI algorithms: I have bash, yes BASH files that do everything TA did and even way more... You maybe might want to head over to a job board and ask some sw engineer to replicate TA: I bet it won't be more than a hundred bucks.With black hat sw you never know what's gonna happen tomorrow. And most of the time even with white hat sw you'll get some very disappointing experiences. Therefore, always go BH and get yourself a custom TA app

I didn't make shit with it. But if you really make money with it, just hire a frikking developper. The program wasn't that ingenious that it couldn't be copied. If I would make over 1 grant a month with it, I would hire a team to develop something customer anyway.

Now I made $2.40 with it. I hate social media mwuahah

I think the best solution would be to release updated version which would not require verifiing licence with every start. TA licence should be verified only one time. How to do that know I dont know, it should be done before twitter started the lawsuit.
