you get conflicting stories and results from other users. I think we are seeing different results, because google running different algorithms on different niches, where it no longer treats backlinks in a bucket by itself, but it treats it as multi-variable logic.
my suggestion, create these backlinks, but point them to one of your pages that you don't care about ranking. wait for a while and see the result. if positive, then point it to your money page. this is the safest approach.

yes it is. Point it to your homepage to build your brand. The purpose of these links are for diversity. Not to rank higher on serp.
Obviously you shouldn't expect much from these links to rank your pages. All contextual links I shared in this forum are meant for diversity, and they have no negative effect towards moneysite as they're coming from established and high authority sites. And now you're assuming that these links are not safe for link building?
I saw four or more people having no negative results from these. Just quit whining.

I'm pretty newbie in SEO - you often talk about "diversity". Could you explain what exactly a site gains from diversity? Because I see some websites with just few, but strong links (which gain them traffic, not just exist) and they appear in SERP more often than my
so what's the point to diversify your backlink profile?

Obviously to make your link profile looks natural in google's eyes. Can you imagine building the same type of links such as PBN to your site only? It's like asking google to slap you hard. This is why you need to diversify your links. Unless you have such strong links as your competitor does (which is not free and not cheap) then you can follow what they're doing. Tho I always recommend to get a few type of links such as guest post, pbn, web2.0, etc to your sites.

as I mentioned before: like many others, I thank you for offering these backlink opportunities.
Many things go into ranking that you might end up hurting your site unintentionally from these. For example, if you want to get ranked for a particular country and you end up signing up for all of your recommendations, you could hurt yourself. Most of these links are based from IPs in US. If you end up getting most of your backlink from US IPs then you could fall to a lower ranked position for a niche in a country, if your competitors have most of their backlinks from IPs based from that country. This is one of the reasons why I say people should test these out.
Again, I got nothing but respect for the time and advice that you provide.
