[TUT]Getting Country Specific Ranking- Webmaster Tool Tweak

Hello BHW...

Hope Everybody is doing good...Getting SERP...And making some good Money

Recently, I worked for one foreign language website and built some good links for it. As usual my client waited for some 2-3 weeks and then we discussed about the ranking.

SERPbook showed These stats for three of her (she was a lady) main keywords

Keyword #1: #87 to $43
Keyword#2 : #109 to # 48
Keyword#3 = Now where to #80


She was impressed with the ranking...and as usual she asked "Whats Next?"

I could have sold her any thing and she must have bought it without giving a second thought. I have seen in the past , you can go a certain limit even if you try good link building packages ..but after a certain limit you should know if its the best strategy to out rank your competitors ..

So the first question I asked her if she has set The Target Region in Webmaster tool for her website. And She did not have a clue..

Its quite simple to do it in Google webmaster world if you are targeting a certain country but most of people dont do it..

Lets see how to do it :

STEP 1 : Log Into your Google Webmaster tool and you dashboard. Click on the domain for which you want to change the Target Country







STEP2: Once you Click the Domain ...You will see "Configuration" Under the "Dashboard" ....








STEP3: Once you click the "Configuration" ..you will see "Setting" Tab ....like this









STEP4: Once you click "Setting" tab ...You will find a way to set you Geo Target ....






STEP5: You can choose you Targeting country and you can Save it...You are done!






Hope you guys do get it ....Once you do it ..you are bound to see effect in your regional rankings !

basic stuff but good for noobs ...that's a lone will not rank the sites you need links from same language and Ip addresses

Yes you are right, This alone wont rank her in first page .....This was my first tweak ..for her after I completed the package. The work is still going on..and I would be writing for more stuff on how we went ahead after this ...
