Tumblr traffic

Ive got four tumblr blogs right now, but most of the traffic comes from one. Ive been building them over the past week and a half.

I get up to 500 uniques a day depending if/how much I work it.

Im doing adult PPL with crak rev. One Im pushing a PPS dating site, no rev on that so far

The conversion rate is shit on the PPL though. Ive only had a few.

I did some experimenting and learned that like 90% of the clicks are coming from people who click the image itself, not my aff link in the description. So these are aimless clicks.

I was thinking I should use a lander that may improve my conversion rate, something that would make a random dude that clicks a naked picture expecting to see the pic larger in a new window, but instead goes to a site, I need him to want to stay on the page and click again.

I know thats pretty much the name of the game but im not sure which way I should go with it. Perhaps a gallery? Or maybe something more obscure I dont know.

Any opinions?

I just want to work this out before I scale

The problem is not your site on this particular case, tumblr traffic is hands down one of the worst converting one.

I'm not saying to quit tumblr, I'm just saying that you'll have a better time driving that traffic into a site with ads that will pay you for each click rather than each email submit/registration.

Trust me, I've been into tumblr adult traffic for a long fucking time. Tumblr traffic is better known for clicking that typing anything.
 
That's what ive been hearing. What If I make site set up with juicy ads that also has my aff links? Or do you think one might compromise the other
 
If you want to put aff. links to crakrev. or something among those lines I would make sites focused on that, with search engine traffic ideally, or at least other social media traffic that converts a little better (twitter might be a place to start if they still have the relative quality they used to have).

I would recommend PlugRush instead of JA in your case though. Their thumbs make the ads look just like another image.

Tumblr traffic is going to your site clicking on an image. They have already accepted the subconscious concept that they will continue clicking on images, they do it daily on tumblr, they will continue doing it even outside tumblr itself, like on your site, the difference is that now those are PR ads.

Put a pop-under too. It's crap traffic, don't be concerned about having a nice, clean site for such low quality traffic. Milk those fuckers the best you can before they leave your site.
 
Do what Heatz recommended and scale up.

Push all the traffic from Tm$blr (get other social sources as well...) to your own hosted sites/blogs. Don't worry about creating a 'masterpiece' website. People who click on images could care less. Just populate your site(s) with good content.

Scale up to a network of hosted blogs/sites and you'll see some $

So it's gotten alot more difficult since the time when i first began a year ago. There's still decent passive $$$ though if you scale and automate.

The best thing is to keep there mindless clicker fingers going by serving up similar/relative content on your lander page, and slowly ask them to take more action. You could experiment with a free signup modal box after "x" images are viewed on your site to collect the emails and put them through a series of engaging auto-responder emails.

To draw more from your tumblr visitors to the site:
Use a theme that makes your images smaller on your tumblr, so the image will be clicked more often which will bring them to your site. (don't make it miniature though)
 
Make easy bro, just make the first image blurred, can say "Click here to un-blur the image"

There are many ways to to use Tumblr, but for me the best currently is to use Tumblr for traffic to your site, then make the monies from your site. Just funnel it in.
