What does it take you to trust someone?

If you want someone to create something for you, a developer for instance, do you

- give your requirement specification to him just like that?
- want a nda signed and then give your requirement specification to him?
- want to have a phonecall, then a nda signed and then give your requirement specification to him?
- want to let other people find everything about his personality, have multiple phonecalls, dinner, lunch, then a nda signed and then give your requirement specification to him?

The last one might make you smile but I am serious. In which category do you fall?

What made you become this way? Good/bad experiences? Prejudices? What does it take you to trust someone in other parts of your life?

A nda is worthless unless you intend to spend the time and money to sue if the other party violates the agreement

Stop making spammy posts.

Well I just check his history, I ask him what username do you use mostly in forums , and then I check his rep on that forum, I use Google to help me, etc.

I've had only bad experiences with developers unfortunately, I don't trust anyone but myself and scrapebox these days...
